God Kabir Appeared in Dwaparyuga by name Karunamay

God Kabir (Kavir Dev or Kabir Das) had appeared in Dwapar Yug by Karunamay name. At that time a devotee Sudarshan Supach born in Balmik caste had become His disciple. This Sudarshan Ji only had successfully concluded Pandav’s yagya, which neither became accomplished with Shri Krishna Ji’s having food, nor with the thirtythree crore gods, eighty-eight thousand Rishis, twelve crore Brahmins, nine Naaths, 84 Siddhs etc’s having food. Devotee Sudarshan Valmik, on obtaining the three real mantras from Complete Guru Ji, was doing true sadhna by remaining within Guru’s bounds.

Taking Indramati in Refuge in Dwapar Yug

In Dwaparyug, there was a king named Chandravijay. His wife Indramati was a very religious woman. She used to show a lot of respect to saints-Mahatmas. She had also made a guru. Her gurudev had told that daughter, one should serve sadhus-saints. It is very beneficial to feed the saints. Fast of Ekadashi (eleventh day of a lunar fortnight), jaap (chanting) of mantra etc sadhnas, which gurudev had explained to her, she was engaged in all that, and in the bhakti of God with a lot of determination. Gurudev had told her that if you will feed the saints, then you will become a queen in your future births also, and will attain heaven. The queen thought that I will certainly feed one saint everyday. She pledged this in her heart that I will have food only after feeding a saint. By doing this it will remain in my mind. Everyday the queen, first of all, used to feed a saint and then herself used to have food. This went on for years.

Once, a Kumbh featival was held in Haridwar. All the worshipper saints of the Trigun Maya departed for bath in the Ganga. Because of this the queen did not find any saint to feed for several days. Queen Indramati herself also did not eat anything. On the fourth day, said to her maid, “Maid, see, if you can find a saint. Otherwise your queen will not remain alive today. Today I will die, but I shall not eat food.” That Kabir God, who is compassionate to the poor and needy, who knows what reason He can make to take His devotee of previous times in His refuge. The maid went in the balcony above and saw that a saint is coming in front. He was in white clothes.

In Dwapar Yug, Kabir God (Kabir Das) had come by Karunamay name. The maid came down and said to the queen that there is a man who appears to be a saint. The queen said, “Call him quickly.” The maid went outside the palace and requested that Sahib, our queen has sent for you. Karunamay Ji said that why has the queen called me; what have I got to do with the queen? The maid servant narrated the whole account. Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji said that if queen needs me, she can come here; I am standing here. You are a maid servant and she is a queen. If I go there and she says that who had called you or her king might say something; daughter, showing disrespect to saints is very sinful. The maid returned and narrated the whole account to the queen. The queen said, “Maid, hold my hand and come.” On reaching there, the queen prostrating with reverence requested, “Oh Parmeshwar! My desire is to make you sit on my shoulder.” Karunamay Ji said, “Daughter! I only wanted to see whether you have any devotion or are merely starving.” Karunamay Ji went in to the palace with her. The queen prepared food with her own hands. KavirDev in Karunamay form said that I do not consume food. On this the queen said that I will also not have food. Karunamay Sahib Ji said that alright daughter, let us eat food, because only He is called ‘All-Capable’ (Samrath) who can do whatever He wishes. Karunamay Ji ate food, then asked the queen that who told you this sadhna that you are doing? The queen said that my gurudev has given me this order. God Kabir questioned, “What order has your gurudev given to you?” Indramati replied — worship of Vishnu-Mahesh, fast of Ekadashi, pilgrimage, goddessworship, to carry out shraadhs, visiting a temple, service to saints. Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji said that the sadhna which your gurudev has given you can not liberate you from birth and death, heaven and hell, and from the sufferings of 84 lakh births of various living beings. The queen said that all the saints try to glorify themselves. You will not say anything against my gurudev, whether I may get liberated or not.

Now, Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji thought that how should these innocent living beings be convinced? They can die, but can not leave what they are following blindly. Karunamay Ji said, “Daughter, it is your wish. I am not criticizing. Have I abused your gurudev or have spoken ill of him? I am just telling the path of bhakti that this bhakti is against the scriptures. It will not give you salvation, nor will any punishment of your deeds be severed, and listen, on the third from today, you will die. Neither will your gurudev be able to save you, nor will this fake sadhna of yours. (When it comes to dying, then this living being is frightened; otherwise does not listen.) The queen thought that saints do not lie, and I might die day after tomorrow. With this fear, asked Karunamay Ji, “Sahib, can my life be saved?” God Kabir (Karunamay) replied, “Yes, it can be saved. If you will take initiation from me, will become my disciple, will relinquish the former way of worship, then your life will be saved.” Indramati said, “I have heard that one should not change gurudev; one incurs sin.” God Kabir (Karunamay) said, “No, daughter, this is also your misconception. If one doctor’s medicine does not work, then don’t we go to another one? There is a teacher of class five. Then there is a teacher of a higher class. Daughter, you will have to move to the next class. Will you spend your whole life in class five? You will have to leave this. Now you do further studies. I have come to teach you.” She would not have agreed, but when started seeing her death that if the saint is saying then things might go wrong. On thinking this, Indramati said that I will do as you say. Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji gave her updesh, and said that Kaal will come in my form on the third day; you do not have to speak to him. Do jaap of the mantra that I have given you for two minutes. Look at him after two minutes. Then treat respectfully. Normally, when Gurudev comes, one should immediately fall at his feet. This is my order only for this time. The queen said, “Alright.”

Now the queen was worried; was doing jaap with devotion. Kaal came in Gurudev’s form by acquiring Karunamay Ji’s appearance and called out “Indramati, Indramati”. Now she was already scared, kept on doing sumiran (jaap of mantra). She did not look at Kaal. When looked at him after two minutes, Kaal’s form changed, and his actual face became visible. He did not have Karunamay Ji’s appearance anymore. When Kaal saw that his form has changed, then he realised that she has some powerful mantra. He left saying that I will see you some other time. You have been saved this time. The queen became very happy and was delighted. She told her maid servants that I was supposed to die, but my Gurudev saved me. She went to the king, and said that I was going to die today, my gurudev saved me. Kaal had come to take me. The king said that you are always doing dramas. If Kaal had come, would he have left you? These saints just mislead you. Now how can she accept this? The queen laid down in happiness. After some time, Kaal came again as a snake and stung the queen. As soon as the snake stung the queen, she became aware of it. The queen screamed, “A snake has stung me.” The servants came running. The snake went out through a hole (through a small outlet for water) before their eyes. After calling her Gurudev, the queen fainted. Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji appeared there. He recited a mantra just to show others (He can restore one to life even without a mantra; does not need any incantations.) and restored Indramati to life. The queen felt immensely grateful that Oh Bandichhor, had I not been in your refuge today, I would have died. Sahib said, “Indramati, I would not even have let this Kaal enter your house. He would not even have attacked you, but you would not have trusted me. You would have thought that no crisis had to come over me. Guruji has given me naam by misleading me. Therefore, I have given you a slight jolt; otherwise daughter, you would not have developed faith.”

धर्मदास यहाँ घना अंधेरा, बिन परचय जीव जम का चेरा।।

God Kabir (Karunamay) said that now when I will wish, then you will die. Garibdas Ji says that —

गरीब, काल डरै करतार से, जय जय जय जगदीश।
जौरा जौरी झाड़ती, पग रज डारे शीश।।

This Kaal is afraid of God Kabir (also known as Kabir Das) and this death (jaura) dusts Kabir Sahib’s shoes i.e. is equivalent to a servant. Then applies that dust on her head and says that I will only go to him whom you will order me to kill; otherwise I will not go.

गरीब, काल जो पीसै पीसना, जौरा है पनिहार ।
ये दो असल मजूर हैं, मेरे साहेब के दरबार।।

This Kaal who is the Lord (Brahm) of the twenty-one brahmands, who is the father of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, he grinds the flour of my Kabir Sahib (God) i.e. is a definite servant, and jaura (death) fetches water for my Kabir Sahib i.e. is a special maid servant. These two real servants are in my Sahib’s court.

After a few days, Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji came again, and granted Satnaam to queen Indramati.

Then after some time, seeing queen Indramati’s intense devotion, Karunamay Ji gave her Saarnaam. Then made her attain Shabd3. When Sahib used to visit, Indramati used to request that please advise my king husband, Lord. If he also agrees and comes in your feet, then my life will become successful. Kabir Sahib requested Chandrvijay that Chandravijay, you may also take naam; this kingdom and luxury is of two days. Then a living being will go in 84 lakh birthsof various life forms. Chandravijay said, “Bhagwan, I will not take naam, and will not restrict your disciple whether she may give the whole treasury in charity, or organise any type of satsang. I will not oppose it.” God Kabir (Karunamay) asked, “Why will you not take naam?” King Chandravijay replied that I have to attend parties of big kings. Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji asked, “What hinderance will naam cause in going to the parties? Go to assemblies, eat cashewnuts, drink milk, juice, but do not consume alcohol. Drinking alcohol is a heinous sin.” But the king did not agree.

On queen’s request, Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji again advised the king that without naam this life will be wasted. You may take naam. The king again said that Guruji, do not ask me to take naam. I will not object your disciple. No matter how much charity she does, or how many satsangs she gets done. Sahib said, “Daughter, seeing this pleasure of two days, his mind has become corrupt. You remain devoted in God’s feet. Get your welfare done. Here nobody is anybody’s wife or husband. It is a relationship of two days. Do bhakti of Parmeshwar and perform virtuous deeds.”

When Indramati turned into an eighty year old woman, (when actually she had to die at fourty years of age) when the body also started shaking, then Karunamay Sahib Ji said, “Now tell, Indramati, do you want to go to Satlok?” Indramati replied, “Sahib, I am ready. I am completely ready, Daata.” Karunamay Ji asked, “Do you have any attachment in your grandchildren or in the wealth of the kingdom?” The queen replied, “Not at all, Sahib. You have given such a pure knowledge. Now what should I wish for in this bad lok/ world? God Kabir (Karunamay) Ji said, “Come, daughter.” The queen died. God Kabir (Karunamay) took queen Indramati’s soul up. There is a Mansarover (lake) in this brahmand. The soul has to be bathed in that Mansarover. God Kabir keeps this living being there for some time. Then asks, “Tell me again if you have any desire, then you will have to take birth again. If you have any desire left in your mind, then you can not go to Satlok.” Indramati said, “Sahib, you are omniscient. I do not have any desire. Only have desire of your feet. But I have a doubt in my mind that my husband never objected me in any of the religious acts. Otherwise today’s husbands cause hinderance to their wives. If he would have objected, then I would not have come in your feet. I would not have got my welfare done. If he gets any benefit for his cooperation in this auspicious act, then also have mercy on him sometime. Karunamay (Kabir) Parmeshwar saw that this fool has again got stuck to her devotionless husband. God Kabir said, “Alright daughter, stay here for two-four years.”

Two years later, even the king started dying. Because he had not taken naam, the messengers of Yam came. The king felt dizzy and fell in the courtyard. The messengers (doot) of Yam strangled him. Because of being strangled, the king choked and his faeces and urine came out. Karunamay (God Kabir) Ji said to the queen that look, what is the state of your king? God Kabir (Karunamay Ji) is showing from there. The queen said that please see, Daata, if he gets any reward for his cooperation in bhakti, then have mercy. The queen still had some affection. God Kabir (Karunamay) thought that she will again get entangled in Kaal’s trap. Thinking this, from Mansarover went there, where king Chandravijay was lying unconscious in his palace. The Yamdoots were taking his life. On God Kabir’s arrival, the Yamdoots flew in the sky like vultures from a dead body. Chandravijay became conscious. Karunamay Ji was standing in front. He was only visible to Chandravijay and not to anyone else. Chandravijay fell in His feet and started begging, “Please forgive me, Daata; save my life”, because he saw that now he is going to die. (The eyes of this living being open when he realises that things have actually gone wrong.) Please forgive me, save my life, Master.” God Kabir said, “King, today also the condition is same. Even that day the condition was same; you will have to take naam.” The king said, “I will take naam. I will take it just now.” God Kabir gave him naam updesh and said that now I will give you a life of two years. If even a single breath will be missed in it, then again the punishments of your deeds will remain.

कबीर, जीवन तो थोड़ा भला, जै सत सुमरण हो। लाख वर्ष का जीवना, लेखे धरे ना को।।

Because of the previous deed of cooperation in the auspicious actions and the sumiran for two years with devotion, God Kabir by providing all the three naams to Chandravijay also took him across. “Bolo Satguru Dev ki Jai, “Jai Bandichhor”.

God Kabir increases the life of a true devotee and also protects his/her family. It has been proved by the above-mentioned description. These evidences are of very early times. In the present time, a common man does not believe this.

Supach Sudarshan & Pandava's Yagya

Blowing of Conch Shell by Supach Sudarshan in Pandav’s Yagya

As everyone knows that in the battle of Mahabharat, Arjun refuses to fight and giving up his weapon, shedding tears from his eyes sits in the rear part of the chariot parked in the midst of the two enemies in the battlefield. Then the Kaal-power (Brahm) penetrated in God Krishna advises Arjun to fight. Then Arjun says that, God, I will not do this wrong act. Instead of this, it is better for us to survive by eating begged food. Then God Kaal penetrating Shri Krishna’s body says that, Arjun, fight. You will not incur any sin. See in Gita Ji Adhyay 11 Shlok 33, Adhyay 2 Shlok 37, 38.

There is a piece of writing (topic) in Mahabharat that on Krishna Ji’s persuasion, Arjun agreed to fight. A fierce battle occurred. Crores of people and all Kauravs were killed in the battle and Pandavs were victorious. When God Krishna himself asked the leader of Pandavs, Yudhishthir, to sit on the royal throne, Yudhishthir refused to sit, saying that I will not rule such a sinful kingdom in which crores of men were killed. Their wives became widows, crores of children became orphan; even their tears have not dried yet. Seeing things not working out in any way, Shri Krishna Ji suggested that you may take advice from Bheeshm Ji. Because when a person is unable to make a decision himself, then he should discuss with a family member. Yudhishthir agreed to this. Then Shri Krishna Ji along with Yudhishthir arrived where Shri Bheeshm was counting his last breaths on a bed of arrows. On reaching there Shri Krishna Ji said to Bheeshm that Yudhishthir is refusing to sit on the royal throne. Please instruct him on politics.

Bheeshm Ji counselled a lot, but Yudhishthir did not deviate from his decision. Just kept on saying that, by enjoying this sinful and bloodstained kingdom, I do not want to go to hell. Then Shri Krishna Ji said that, you do a Dharm Yagya (religious yagya). Because of which you will not incur the sin of the killings done in the battle. On this Yudhishthir agreed and performed a Dharm yagya. Then, he sat on the royal throne. He became the king of Hastinapur (Delhi).

A few years later, Yudhishthir started getting nightmares. As if many women crying and sobbing are breaking their bangles and their innocent children, standing beside their mothers and some sitting, are crying while saying, father-father; as if, are saying, oh King! Get us killed too, send us to our father. Many a times, sees headless trunks. Someone’s head is lying somewhere, trunk is lying somewhere else; there is an uproar everywhere. Yudhishthir’s sleep gets disturbed, sits up in the bed confused and gasping. Spends the whole night sitting and roaming in the palace. One day, Draupadi saw this state of the eldest husband. On asking the reason of distress, Yudhishthir avoided it by saying, its is nothing. When Draupadi saw this miserable state of Yudhishthir on many nights, then one day, she disclosed it to all the four (Arjun, Bheem, Nakul and Sahdev) that, your big brother is very distressed. Ask him the reason. Then the four brothers came to their big brother and requested, please tell us the reason for your distress. On much insistence, Yudhishthir narrated his whole story. The five brothers, to know the reason for this distress, went to God Shri Krishna Ji and explained to him that big brother is getting such nightmares. Because of which his night’s sleep, peace of day and appetite has ended. Please tell us the reason and the solution. Having heard everything Shri Krishna Ji said the sins committed in the battle are causing distress. These sins are removed by performing a yagya.

Hindi translation of Gita Ji Adhyay 3 Shlok 13: - The superior men, who after offering the food to the deity (Purna Parmatma) situated in the yagya, eat the remnants, they become liberated from all the sins. The sinful people, who only cook food to sustain their bodies, eat the sin only i.e. by doing a yagya, become liberated from all the sins. Seeing no other way out, the Pandavs accepted Shri Krishna’s advice. The preparations for yagya were done. Shri Krishna Ji suggested to invite all the men of the Earth, Sages, Siddhs, Sadhus, and even the demigods of heaven. He said that more the number of people who will have food, more will be the merits. But special benefit is from saints and sadhus; of these also, there might be a saint endowed with supreme power, he can give full benefit and placed the evidence of completion of yagya, a five-faced (Panchjanya) conch shell on a high, decorated stage, and said, when a saint with great earnings (possessing supreme power) will have food in this yagya, then this conch shell will itself make a sound. It will be so resonant that will be heard on the whole Earth and upto Heaven.

Preparations were done for the yagya. On the fixed day, all the respected invited devout persons, 88 thousand Rishis, 33 crore demi-gods, nine Naaths, 84 Siddhs, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiv etc arrived. The act of yagya started. Then later, everyone fed the remnant food (prasaad-bhandara) of the yagya to all great men and devotees and the ordinary people present there. Even God Shri Krishna Ji himself had food. But the conch shell did not blow. Because the conch shell did not blow, therefore, the yagya was not completed. At that time, Yudhishthir asked Shri Krishna Ji, Oh madhusudan! The conch shell did not blow. All the great men and entrants have had foood. What is the reason? Shri Krishna said that there is no Purna Purush (a worshipper of Satmnaam and Saarnaam) in these. Then Yudhishthir was astonished that so many great mandleshwars, among whom are Vashisht Muni, Markande, lomash Rishi, nine naaths (like, Gorakhnath), 84 Siddhs etc-etc and God Shri Krishna himself have eaten, but the conch shell did not blow. On this Krishna Ji said, all these are hungry of praise and seniority. There is no one who wants God and by doing sadhna according to their whimsical desires and showing siddhis (supernatural powers), these attract the world. Innocent people applaud them and flutter around them. These will themselves go to births of animals and will also take their followers to hell.

Garib, Sahib ke darbaar mein, gaahak koti anant
Chaar cheej chaahae hain, riddhi siddhi maan mahnat
Garib, Brahm randr ke ghaat ko, kholat hai koi ek
Dwaare se fir jaat hain, aise bahut anek
Garib, beejak ki baataa kahaen, beejak naahin haath
Prthvi doban utre, kah-kah meethi baat
Garib, beejak ki baataa kahaen, beejak naahin paas
Auron ko prmodahi, apan chale niraas

Then God Krishna by his power showed the future births of all those Mandleshwars to Yudhishthir, in which someone had acquired the form of an earthworm, and someone of sheep-goat, buffalo and lion etc.

On seeing all this Yudhishthir said, “Oh Lord! It means the Earth has become devoid of a saint.” God Krishna replied, “When the Earth will become devoid of a saint, it will catch fire. All the living beings will die fighting with each other. This equilibrium is maintained by the power of a Purna Sant (Complete Saint). Then I (God Vishnu) on coming to Earth finish all the people with demoniac nature so that the saints can be at ease. Just as a farmer cuts all the weeds which may harm his crop and throws them out. And then that crop flourishes independently; which means that these saints provide the joy of irrigation in that crop. A Complete Saint grants equal happiness to everyone just as water nourishes both the types of plants. They are compassionate towards every living being. Now I will show you a Complete Saint. A Mahatma lives in the north-eastern/northeast part of Delhi. We have to send for him. Then Yudhishthir said, “The responsibility of inviting saints in that direction was entrusted to Bheemsen. Let us him whether he had gone to that Mahatma or not.” When on calling Bheemsen asked him, he told, “I had met him. His name is Swapach Sudarshan. He belongs to the Balmiki race and is a householder saint. He lives in a hut. He refused to come to the yagya. On this Shri Krishna Ji said, “Saints do not refuse. Tell us all the conversation you had with him.” then Bheemsen further revealed, “Inviting him, I said, “Oh Sant Parwar (Supreme Saint)! Please do us the favour of coming to our yagya. I explained him everything. Instantly, he (Sudarshan Saint Ji) started saying, “Bheemsen, the saints will incur sin by eating your sinful food. You have done a lot of damage. By killing crores of beings, you are enjoying the kingdom today. The widow women and orphan children of the soldiers, who have died in the battle, cry for hours remembering their husbands and fathers time and again. Then the children embracing their mothers are asking, “Mother, papa has not come on leave. When will he come? He will bring new clothes for us. The second girl says, “He will bring a new sari for me. When I will get married on growing up, I will go to my in-laws’ house wearing it. That boy (who is ten years old) says, “This time I will say to papa that you do not go to the service. My mother and brother-sister suffer a lot without you. Whenever you see, mother is crying remembering you day and night in a secluded place. Either call us all to you or live with us. Leave the job. I have become a youth. In your place I will go in the army and serve the country. You live with your family. Let father come, I will not let him go. (To save them from being distressed, their mother did not tell them that, your father has died in the battle because at that time those children had gone to their maternal uncle’s house. Only the youngest child, who was a year and a half old, was at home. The other children were intentionally not called.) Thus, distressed by the mutual conversation of those innocent children, their mother’s heart filled with grief of her husband’s memory. To relieve it (to cry) went into another room and burst into tears. Then all the children falling on their mother started crying. The relatives came and consoled them. Then said that tell clearly to the children that your father has died in the battle. When the children came to know that now our papa (father) will never return, they started cursing that selfish king, who for the division of land between brothers, drank the blood of the sons of the world. It was not even a fight for the defence of the country in which we would have contented ourselves that they have given their lives for the welfare of the country. This bloody king for his own luxuries has caused bloodshed. Now he is enjoying a lot.” Saint Sudarshan (Swapach) is telling ahead that, Bheem, crores of such beings are suffering from the pain inflicted by the battle. Their suffering will not let you be in peace even if perform crores of yagyas. Who will eat such an evil food? If you want to call me then vow to give me the merits of the hundred yagyas you have performed earlier i.e. give me the fruits of one hundred yagyas, then I will have food at your place. On hearing this from Sudarshan Ji’s mouth, Bheem told that I said, “You are a strange man. You are asking for the fruits of one hundred yagyas. This is our second yagya. How shall we give you the fruits of hundred? It is better that you do not come. Anyhow, it is not that the yagya will not get completed without you. On hearing the whole conversation, Shri Krishna said, “Bheem, one should not misbehave with saints. One can find the end of seven seas, but cannot find the end of a saint of the Satguru (Kabir Sahib). Even the three loks are not equivalent to one hair of that Mahatma Sudarshan (Swapach). Come with me to bring that dear hans (evilless soul) of the Supreme Father God.

Then the five Pandavs and God Shri Krishna arrived barefoot at Swapach’s hut. At that time Kabir Sahib Himself (Karunamay Sahib Ji was Swapach’s Gurudev because in Dwaparyug Sahib Kabir had come from His Satlok by the name Karunamay, and had delivered the true knowledge of His Satlok) acquiring the appearance of Sudarshan Swapach sat down in the hut and by His secret inspiration arose a desire in Sudarshan’s mind and sent him far away to meet a saint or a devotee which was going to take many days to and fro. Seeing the brilliance and power of Satguru in Sudarshan’s form, all the Pandavs were highly impressed. Shri Krishna himself prostrated before Sudarshan Ji. Then following him, all the Pandavs did the same. Then looking at Krishna Ji, Swapach Sudarshan respectfully said, “Oh Tribhuvan Naath (Lord of the three worlds)! How come today you have arrived at this poor man’s door? It is my good fortune that today Deenanaath (Lord of the poor) Vishambharnaath has himself come to grant his audience to the insignificant me.” He respectfully offered everyone a seat and asked the reason for their visit. At that time, Shri Krishna Ji said, “Oh All-knowing” You are familiar with the whole situation. The Pandavs have performed a yagya. It is not being completed without you. Please bestow your grace on them.” At that very moment, pointing towards Bheem present there, Mahatma Ji said that, this braveman had come to me and had informed me about his helplessness. At that time, Shri Krishna Ji said, “oh Purna Brahm! You have yourself stated in your speech that —

Sant Milan ko chaaliye, taj maya abhimaan
Jyon jyon pag aage dharae, so-so yagya samaan

Today, the five Pandavs are kings and I, Dwarkadheesh, despite being a king, have myself come here barefoot. There is no sign of arrogance at all, and Bheem also stood up and asked for forgiveness for the offensive words said by him the other day by falling at Sudarshan’s feet. Therefore, Oh Naath! Today accepting the fruit of the yagya equivalent to the steps of your six servants who have come to you to obtain your sight, please accept hundred and grant the remainder to us beggars so that we may also be blessed. Seeing such submissiveness in all the present men, Jagatguru Sahib in form of Sudarshan (Karunamay) became very pleased.

Sudarshan Ji stood up and went with them. When Sudarshan Ji arrived in the hall where yagya was being performed, the great Mandleshwars sitting all around on high decorated seats, on seeing Sudarshan Ji’s appearance (a doubled dhoti – a piece of cloth worn around legs slightly lower than the knees, stubby beard, dishevelled hair on head neither long nor short, worn-out shoes, dirty clothes, effulgent body), thought in their minds that such an impure person cannot blow the conch shell even in seven lives. In front of us he is like a lamp before sun. Shri Krishna himself laid the seat with his hands for that Mahatma because Shri Krishna is a superior soul (is Parmatma); he also loved Sudama and Bheelni from his heart, and here, Parmeshwar Purna Brahm, SatPurush, Akaal Murti has come Himself. Then Shri Krishna Ji said to Draupadi, “Oh sister! Sudarshan Mahatma Ji has come, prepare food. He is a very eminent saint.” Draupadi saw that there is not even a single sign of sainthood. He appears to be a poor (broke) householder. Neither are his clothes saffron-coloured, nor has garland in his neck, nor is wearing a tilak, nor has matted hair, nor has shaven head, nor is carrying tongs (chimta), a bag and a water-pot. Even then on Krishna Ji’s saying instantly prepared very delicious food of various kinds and serving it in a beautiful silver plate in front of Sudarshan Ji, thought in her mind, “Today, on having food this bhakt will continue licking his fingers. He would never have had such a food in his lifetime.” Sudarshan Ji collected all the different types of foods and made a mixture. At that time, Draupadi saw that he has mixed the entire food (pudding, sugar, halwa, vegetable, yoghurt, dahi-bade etc) into one. Then thought maliciously in her mind that, this wild man does not even know how to eat. What kind of saint is he? How will he blow the conch shell? (Because the lady who prepares food has this perspective that I shall prepare such a delicious food that the person who eats it, sings my praises wherever he goes. Every sister has this desire.)

[That poor lady ruins her eyes because of smoke for an hour and someone like me says, “There is no salt, then she is hurt.” Therefore saints always praise whatever they get to eat. If someone is unable to eat, then a saint does not ask by saying ‘salt’. Saints have named salt as ‘Ram-ras’. If someone is habitual of eating excessive salt, then he will say, “Please bring Ram-ras.” The family members do not even come to know what he is asking for. Because in satsang, there are other servants in the service, those who have prepared food are not hurt. Once, a new bhakt went to a satsang for the first time. In that someone said, “Bhakt Ji, bring Ram-ras.” Another one also said that bring Ram-ras and got some Ram-ras placed on his palm. That new bhakt haad had food, but was waiting for other bhakts sitting in the line to finish food thinking that we will get up together. This is also a formality in satsang. He thought that Ram-ras must be some special sweet edible substance. Thinking this he said, “Give Ram-ras to me too.” A servant kept a little Ram-ras (salt) on his palm. Then this new bhakt said, “Do I have to put it in my ear? Put more.” Then that servant put 2-3 tablespoons of it. That new bhakt, considering that fine salt to be some special sweet edible prasaad, tossed it into his mouth. Then he quietly stood up, went outside and rinsed his mouth. Then he asked a bhakt, “What is Ram-ras?” Then that bhakt told him that salt is called Ram-ras. Then that new Bhakt said, “Even I was thinking that it is called ram-ras, but is very salty. Then it occurred to me that perhaps God has not become pleased with the new bhakts. Therefore it tastes salty to me. I would have tried once more; it is good that I have cleared it with you.” Then he was told that why is salt called Ram-ras.]

Swapach Sudarshan Ji ate the whole food by making five morsels of it. The conch shell sounded five times. After that the conch shell did not make any sound.

Vyanjan chhateeson parosiya, jahaan Draupadi raani
Bin aadar satkaar ke, kahee shankh na baani
Panch giraasi baalmik, panchae bar bole
Aage shankh panchaayan, kapaat na khole

Baalmik prsaad se, kan kan kyon na baaja
Draupadi seti Krishna Dev, jab aise bhaakha

At that time, Shri Krishna Ji thought that why did the conch shell not blow even after this Mahatma Sudarshan has had food? Then he saw with his divine vision. Then he said to Draupadi, “Draupadi, every being sleeps after having plain food in his house. You have developed conceit in your mind by preparing good food. A religious rite (yagya, hawan, paath) performed without respectful treatment is not successful. And what do you think of this simple man? He is Supreme God. Even the three loks are not equivqlent to his one hair. You have thought ill about this Greatman in your mind because of which your mind/inner-self has become polluted/dirty. By his consumption of food, this conch shell would have made a sound upto heaven and the entire brahmand would have resounded. Now this has only sounded five times so that your misconception is cleared because by consumption of food by any other sage, it did not even budge. Now cleaning/clearing your mind and considering Him to be God, you may wash His feet and drink that water, so that the dirt (sin) of your heart is removed.

At that very moment, accepting her fault Draupadi asked for forgiveness from the saint and washing Swapach Sudarshan’s (a householder) feet with her own hands made charnamrit (foot-nectar). She started drinking the water filled with dirt. When she had drunk half of it, God Krishna Ji said, “Draupadi, give some nectar to me too so that I am also blessed.” Saying this Krishna Ji drank the rest of the foot-nectar. At that very moment, that five-faced conch shell blew so loudly that its sound went upto heaven. Then that yagya of the Pandavs became successful.

All Sadhna is Futile Without Satnaam and Saarnaam

In the dialogue during yagya, God Krishna himself says that Yudhishthir all these people who have assumed an appearance and all the sages, Siddhs, demi-gods, Brahmins etc are hypocrites. They do not have any devotion in them. By pretension they make themselves glorified in front of the innocent devotees. Now the readers should contemplate that, that time was Dwaparyug, and the saints of that time were very good sages because 5500 years ago even an ordinary man used to have noble thoughts. Thirty-forty years ago, the thoughts of an ordinary man used to be much better than today. If we compare this with that of 5500 years ago, then the Sanyasi-sadhus of that time were much superior to the contemporary saints-sadhus. Even then God himself said, “These are all animals, they are not worshippers of Satyanaam.” Garibdas Ji Maharaj has stated this same bitter truth in “Shatdarshan Ghamoda Bahda, in Bahde Ka Ang, in Tark Vedi, in Sukh Sagar Bodh, in Aadi-Puran”, that the sadhna which these worshippers are doing is bahda (unnecessary) without Satyanaam and Saarnaam.
