God Kabir appeared in Kalyuga by name Kabir
Kabir (also known as Kabir Das or Sant Kabir) in Vikrami Samvat 1455 (1398 C.E.) on a full moon day (Purnima) of the month of Jeth (May-June), early morning in Brahm- Muhurat Himself came from His original place Satlok. He acquired a child form on a lotus flower in Lahar Tara Lake in Kaashi city. First of all it is important to know about Neeru and Neema that who were they.
Who were Neeru & Neema | Acquired parents of Sant Kabir
Neeru and Neema were both Brahmins by the name Gauri Shankar and Saraswati. They were worshippers of God Shiv. They used to narrate the glory of God Shiv from Shiv Puran selflessly to devout souls. They did not use to take money from anyone. They were such noble souls that if anyone used to give them any donation, out of it they used to keep whatever was sufficient for their food and used to do bhandara (provide a common meal) of the rest.
{In Dwapar Yug Neeru-Neema were parents of Supach Sudarshan. They had not accepted what Kabir Sahib used to say at that time. In the end Sudarshan had requested Kabir Sahib in Karunamay form that God, you have given me everything by giving me updesh (initiation). Todate there has been no need to ask you for anything because you fulfilled all the desires and also enriched me with the real wealth of bhakti. Das has a request, if you find it appropriate, then accept it. If my parents attain a human body in any birth, then please look after them, God. They are very pious souls, but today their mind has reversed. They are not accepting the God’s speech. Kabir Sahib said, “Don’t worry; otherwise you will get stuck here because of your parents. Let the time come, I will take care of them too. I will release them from Kaal’s trap. You go to Satlok with peace.” Sudarshan Ji went to Satlok.
Sudarshan’s parents had two births in Brahmin families prior to their birth as Neeru-Neema in Kalyug. At that time also they remained childless. Then they had the third human birth in Kaashi. At that time also they were Brahmins only (by the name Gauri Shankar and Saraswati), were still childless.}
Other selfish Brahmins used to be jealous of Gauri Shankar and Saraswati because Gauri Shankar used to do katha selflessly. He did not use to mislead devotees for the greed of money; as a result of which had become an object of praise. On the other hand the Muslims came to know that Neeru-Neema do not have any Brahmin Hindu with them. They took advantage of this and forcefully converted them into Muslims. The Muslims sprinkled their water in their whole house and also put it in their mouth; sprinkled it on all the clothes. At this the Hindu Brahmins said that now they have become Muslims. From today onwards they do not have any relation with us.
Poor Gauri Shankar and Saraswati became helpless. The Muslims kept the man’s name as Neeru and the woman’s name as Neema. Previously, whatever donation they used to get was running their livelihood, and whatever money was saved, they did not use to misuse it. They used to do a religious bhandara from the remaining money. Now even the donation stopped coming. They thought now what work shall we do? They installed a hand-mill and started working as weavers. At that time also after fulfilling their needs, they used to spend the remaining money in bhandara. The Hindu Brahmins had prohibited Neeru-Neema from taking bath in Ganga. They used to say that now you have become Muslims.
Apperance of God Kabir on a Lotus Flower
The water of Ganga, splashing through waves, used to fill a big lake named Lahar Tara in Kaashi city. It used to remain filled with very pure water. Lotus flower were growing in it. In 1398 A.D. (Vikrami Samvat 1455) on a full moon day in the month of Jyesth (May-June), in Brahm-Muhurat (Brahm-Muhurat is approximately 1½ hours before sunrise), Parmeshwar Kabir (KavirDev) coming in bodily form from His Satyalok (Ritdhaam), acquiring a child form, became seated on a lotus flower in Lahar Tara lake in Kaashi city. Neeru and Neema were going to the same lake to take bath early morning in Brahm-Muhurat. A very bright mass of light (Parmeshwar Kabir Ji had come in form of a child with a very bright body; because of the distance, appeared only as a mass of light) came from above (from Satyalok) and became contained in the lotus flower, by which the entire Lahar Tara Lake started dazzling, and then going in one corner, it disappeared. One of the disciples of Ramanand Ji, Rishi Ashtanand Ji was seeing this spectacle with his own eyes. Ashtanand Ji also used to go to a solitary place to take bath everyday. Sitting there used to do jaap of the mantra which Gurudev had given and used to enjoy the nature. When Swami Ashtanand Ji saw that such a bright light that even the eyes were dazzled, Rishi Ji thought that whether it is any accomplishment of my bhakti or a deception. Thinking this, to ask the reason, went to his Gurudev.
Ashtanand Ji asked Respected Ramanand Ji that oh Gurudev! I have seen such a light today which I have never seen before in my life. Narrated the whole account that a mass of light was coming from the sky. When I saw, my eyes could not bear the light. Therefore became shut, I saw a child’s form in closed eyes. (Like, after looking at the sun, only a ball is visible, similarly, the child became visible.) Was this any achievement of my bhakti or my sight defect? Swami Ramanand Ji replied that son, such signs occur when incarnations come from the upper Loks. They will appear at someone’s place, will take birth from some mother and then will do leela (because these Rishis only have this much knowledge that one can only take birth from a mother). Based on whatever knowledge the Rishi had, he resolved the doubt of his disciple.
Neeru & Neema find God Kabir on a lotus flower in Lahar Tara Pond
Neeru and Neema were going to take bath that same day. On the way, Neema prayed to God, “Oh God Shiv! (Because although they had become Muslims, but were unable to forget their sadhna from heart which they were doing for so many years) Have you become short of a child for us? You could have also given one child to us; even our life would have become successful.” Saying this she burst into tears. Her husband Neeru said that Neema, it is beneficial to remain happy in God’s wish. If you will keep on crying like this, then your body will become weak, you will lose sight. There is no child in our fate. While saying this reached Lahar Tara pond. It was a bit dark. Neema came out after bathing; changed her clothes. Neeru entered into the pond and started bathing by plunging into water. When Neema went again on the bank of the river to wash the cloth worn during bathing, by then the darkness had cleared. The sun was about to rise. Neema saw in the pond that something is moving on a lotus flower in front. God Kabir in the form of a child had one toe in His mouth and was moving the other foot. At first Neema thought it might be a snake and might be coming towards my husband. Then saw that it is a child. A child on a lotus flower! At once shouted to her husband that watch out, the child will drown, the child will drown! Neeru said that fool, you have turned mad for kids. Now you see a child in water also. Neema said, “Yes, see in front on the lotus flower.” Influenced by her intense voice, Neeru saw where she was pointing; a child is lying on a lotus flower in the form of a newly born baby. Neeru brought that child along with the flower and gave him to Neema, and himself started bathing. Neeru came out after having bath; Neema was cuddling the Parmeshwar who had come in the child form and was praising and praying to God Shiv that oh God, you have fulfilled my desire that I had for years (because she was a worshipper of Shiv). Just today I had called out from heart, and you heard it.
That Kabir Parmeshwar, by taking whose name a special thrilling sensation occurs in our heart, in whose love hair stand on end and the soul is moved, the mother who would have embraced and loved Him like a child, the happiness which she would have experienced, that is inexplainable. Like a mother loves a child, in a similar manner, sometime she kissed Him on face, sometime was cuddling Him and was again and again looking at His face. Meanwhile Neeru came out after bathing. (Because a man is more concerned about the society) He calculated that we have not developed any special love with the Muslims and the Hindu Brahmins hate us. At first the Muslims took advantage of this and made us Muslims because we did not have any companion. Now if we will take this child, then people will say that tell us, who are the parents of this child? You have stolen someone’s child. His mother must be crying. What answer will we give, what will we say? If we will tell that we found him on a lotus flower, then nobody would believe us. Contemplating all this, Neeru said that Neema, leave this child here only. Neema said that I can not leave this child. I can give my life; I will die in agony. Who knows what spell this child has casted on me? I can not leave him. Now Neeru explained the whole thing that this can happen with us. Neema said that I can even take exile for this child, but will not leave him. Seeing her foolishness Neeru thought that she has gone mad; she is not even seeing the society. Neeru said to Neema that todate I had never disregarded you because we did not have children. Whatever you said, I accepted. But I will not listen to you today. Either you keep this child here only, or I will just give you two slaps. That greatman had held his hand towards his wife for the first time. At that very moment, God Kabir (KavirDev) in the form of the infant said that Neeru take me home. You will not face any problem. On hearing the words of God in infant form Neeru became frightened that this child might be an angel or some Siddh person and I might get into trouble. He started walking silently.
When they brought the child home, everyone forgot to ask from where have you brought him? Kaashi’s men and women came to see the child and said that he appears to be some god. We have never seen such a beautiful body, such a bright child before. Someone said that he is some god among Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh. Brahma- Vishnu-Mahesh said that this is some power which has come from the upper loks. In this way, everybody was giving his comment.

Kabir Sahib alone is the eternal Supreme Guru. Kabir Sahib only gave updesh to Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiv etc gods, Rishi-Munis and saints on coming from His Satlok from time to time.
Respected Garibdas Ji Maharaj has written in his speech that

It is proved from the aforesaid speech that Kabir Parmeshwar alone is the Eternal God. He only is eternal-immortal. This very God, Himself coming in all the four yugas, gives his true path of bhakti.
God Kabir (Kavir Dev) Explained Tatvagyan to Swami Ramanand Ji
Pandit Swami Ramanand Ji was a learned person. He was considered to be deeply-versed in Vedas and Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
Who was the Guru of Sant Kabir
Adopting Ramanand Ji as a Guru at the Age of Five Years
When God Kabir (Kavir Dev) turned five in His leelamay body (a disguise to perform wonderous acts at will), at that time to maintain Guru Maryada (the custom of acquiring a Guru), He did a leela (divine act). He, acquiring the appearance of a 2½- year-old child, before dawn in the darkness, laid down on the steps of Panch-Ganga Ghaat, where Swami Ramanand Ji used to go daily to bathe. Shri Ramanand Ji was 104 years old. He had stopped the pretentious way of worship which other Pandits had started in Kaashi. Ramanand Ji used to advocate worship according to the scriptures and used to hold his 52 courts in the entire Kaashi. Ramanand Ji used to preach worship based on the injunctions of Holy Gita Ji and Holy Vedas. He used to give jaap of ‘Om’ naam.
That day also, when he went to Panch-Ganga Ghaat for bathing, at that time Kabir Sahib was lying on the steps. In the darkness of the Brahm-muhurat (moments just before sunrise) Ramanand Ji failed to see Kabir Sahib. The sandal of Ramanand Ji’s feet hit Kabir Sahib’s head. KavirDev started crying like a child. Ramanand Ji bent down quickly to find out if the child was hurt and lifted him affectionately. At that moment the kanthi (garland) in Ramanand Ji’s neck came out and was put in Parmeshwar KavirDev’s neck. Ramanand Ji said, “Son, say ‘Ram-Ram’. All miseries are removed by Ram’s naam; son, say Ram-Ram”, and kept his hand over Kabir Sahib’s head. Kabir Sahib in a child form became quiet. Then Ramanand Ji started taking bath and thought that I will take the child to ashram. And will send him to whosoever he belongs. After taking bath, Ramanand Ji saw that the child was not there. Kabir Sahib disappeared from there and came in his hut. Ramanand Ji thought that the child must have gone away, now where shall I look for him?
God Kabir Acquiring Two Forms in Swami Ramanand Ji’s Ashram
One day, a disciple of Swami Ramanand Ji was delivering discourse somewhere. Kabir Sahib went there. That Rishi Ji (sage) was narrating the tale of ShriVishnu Puran. He was saying that God Vishnu is the creator of the entire nature, he is the sustainer. He only is the Supreme Power who came as incarnation in Ram and Krishna form; he is unborn; Shri Vishnu Ji does not have any motherfather. Kavirishwar (Kavir God) listened to the whole account. After the satsang, Kabir Parmeshwar said, “Rishi Ji, can I ask you a question?” Rishi Ji said, “Yes son! Ask.” Hundreds of devotees were present there. KavirDev said that you were delivering the discourse from Vishnu Puran that Shri Vishnu Ji is a Supreme Power; Brahma and Shiv have originated from him. Rishi Ji said that whatever I narrate, the same is written in Vishnu Puran. Kabir Sahib said that Rishi Ji, I have requested you to dispel my doubt, please do not get agitated. One day I had listened to Shiv Puran. In that that greatman was narrating that Vishnu and Brahma originated from God Shiv. (Evidence: Holy Shiv Puran, Rudr Sanhita, Adhyay 6 and 7, Published from Gita Press Gorakhpur). In Devi Bhagwat’s third Skand, it is written that the Goddess is the mother of these three, Brahma-Vishnu-Shiv. These three are mortal, are not eternal. Rishi Ji was without an answer. Being angry, said, “Who are you? Whose son are you?” Even before Kabir Sahib could say anything, other devotees started saying that he is the son of that weaver Neeru. The disciple of Swami Ramanand Ji said that how come you are wearing a kanthi in your neck? (The Vaishnu Sadhus wear a garland of one bead of basil/tulsi; it is evident from that, that these have taken initiation from Vishnu-succession.) Who is your Gurudev? Kabir Sahib said that my Gurudev is the same as yours. That Rishi became very angry and said, “Oh fool! You, son of a low-caste weaver, are addressing my Gurudev as yours. You, son of a weaver! He does not even see inferior people like you and you are saying that you have taken naam (initiation) from him! See, devotees, he is a liar, a fraud. I will go to Gurudev just now and will tell your whole story to him. You, child of a low-caste, insult our Guruji.” Kaviragni said, “Alright, tell Guru Ji.” That Rishi Ji went and told Shri Ramanand Ji, “Gurudev, there is a boy of lower caste. He has disgraced us. He says that Swami Ramanand Ji is my Gurudev. Oh Bhagwan! It has become difficult for us to go out.” Swami Ramanand Ji said, “Call him tomorrow morning. Just see how much I will punish him tomorrow in front of you.”
Revealing Swami Ramanand Ji’s Secret Thought
Next day early morning, ten ignorant men captured God Kabir and presented him before Shri Ramanand Ji. To show that I do not even look at people of low-caste, he was telling a lie that he has taken initiation from me, Ramanand Ji drew a curtain in front of him at the door of his hut. Ramanand Ji asked from behind the curtain that who are you and what is your caste? God Kabir said —
रामानंद अधिकार सुनि, जुलहा अक जगदीश। दास गरीब बिलंब ना, ताहि नवावत शीश।।407।।

If you are asking my caste, then I am Jagatguru (in Vedas, it is written that God Kabir is the Jagatguru who imparts knowledge to the entire creation). What is my Panth (path)? (The path to which God do I show?) My Panth is that of Parmeshwar. I have come to show the path to that Supreme Power i.e. Parmeshwar who is the Creator of the infinite crore brahmands and is the Sustainer; who has been referred by the names KavirDev, Kaviragni etc in the Vedas.
Please understand the difference between Ish, Ishwar and Parmeshwar.
1. Brahm/Kshar Purush - is known as Ish (ईश), and is the master of only twenty-one brahmands.
2. ParBrahm/Akshar Purush - is known as Ishwar (ईश्वर), and is the master of seven sankh brahmands.
3. Purna Brahm/Param Akshar Purush - is known as Parmeshwar (परमेश्वर), and is the Master of the infinite brahmands i.e. is the Master of the lineage and that is why Kabir Ji said to Swami Ramanand Ji that my path is that of attaining Parmeshwar.
It is written in Gita Adhyay 15 Shlok no. 17 that in reality, the Imperishable God is someone else and He only by entering into the three loks, sustains everyone and He only is known by the name, Eternal Parmatma i.e. Parmeshwar. I only am that Parmeshwar. On hearing this Swami Ramanand Ji became very agitated and said, “Oh useless person! You are of a low caste and are making a big statement. You have yourself become God!” Ramanand Ji also abused Kabir Sahib badly. Kabir Sahib said, “Gurudev! You are my Guru Ji. Although you are abusing me, I am still relishing it. But what I am saying to you that I am Purna Brahm, there is no doubt about it.” On hearing this, Ramanand Ji said, “Just wait, it will be a long story with you, you will not listen like this. I will first do my pooja.” Ramanand Ji said to his disciples, “Make him sit. My some religious ritual is pending. Let me finish it first. I will deal with him later.” What religious act did Ramanand Ji perform? He used to make an imaginary idol of God Vishnu Ji. The idol used to become visible in front of him (like religious ceremony is performed; first of all, taking off all the clothes of God’s idol, bathing him with water, then putting clean clothes on God Thakur Ji, putting a garland in the neck, adorn with a tilak, then used to put the crown). Ramanand Ji was imagining all this. In imagination, he made an imaginary idol of God. With reverence, as if himself had gone barefoot and brought Ganga-water, adopting such feelings, took off clothes of Thakur Ji’s idol; then bathed it and put on new clothes. Adorned with a tilak, placed the crown and forgot to put the garland (kanthi). Now if kanthi is not put, then the religious act remains incomplete, and if the crown has been placed, then it can not be removed. That day, if removes the crown, then the pooja gets interrupted. Swami Ramanand Ji is cursing himself that this much life has passed, I had never committed such a mistake. God, what mistake has been committed by the sinful me today? If I take off the crown, then my pooja breaks off. He thought that let me try to put kanthi over the crown (he is imagining all this, there is no idol in front of him and the curtain is drawn; Kabir Sahib is sitting on the other side); the garland gets stuck in the crown and is not going any further. Then Ramanand Ji thought, “What shall I do now? Oh Lord! Today my whole day has gone wasted. My today’s bhakti earnings have become wasted (because one who has a yearning for God, if even a single daily observance is left, then he feels a great deal of distress. Like, if a person’s pocket is picked, then he repents a lot. Similarly, the true devotees of God have this much attachment). In the meantime, Sahib Kabir said that Swami Ji, open the knot of the garland and put it in the neck. Then tie a knot; you will not have to take off the crown. At that time, what crown he was going to take off, what knot he was going to open. Even the curtain drawn in front of the hut, Swami Ramanand Ji threw it away with his own hands and in front of the entire Brahmin community embraced that Kabir Parmeshwar. Ramanand Ji said that oh Bhagwan (Lord)! You have such a soft body like cotton, and my body is like stone. On one side, God is standing and on the other there is a wall of caste and religion. The God-loving pious souls consider it meritorious to break the artificial wall of the religion. Ramanand Ji did the same. Finding Purna Parmatma in front of him, neither did he see the caste, nor religion, nor untouchability, only saw self-welfare. This is called a Brahmin.
Then Swami Ramanand Ji said, “Why did you tell a lie?” Kabir Sahib said, “Which lie, Swami Ji?” Swami Ramanand Ji said, “You were saying that you have taken naam (initiation) from me. When did you take updesh (initiation) from me?” Kabir Sahib replied, “Once, you had gone to Panch-Ganga Ghaat for bathing. I was lying over there. The khadaau of your feet had hit my head, then you had said that son, say Ram-Ram.” Ramanand Ji said, “Yes, now I remember something. But that was a very small child (because at that time 5-year-old children used to grow up quite a lot, and there was a double difference between the bodies of a 5-year-old child and a 2½-years-old child).” Kabir Sahib said, “Swami Ji, look, was I like this?” He was also standing in front of Swami Ji, and acquiring another appearance of a 2½-year-old child sat down on a cot of a servant laid there.” Now Ramanand Ji looked six times on one side and six times on the other. Then rubbing his eyes saw again if his eyes were misleading him. In this way while he was seeing, the smaller form of Kabir Sahib rose and vanished into Kabir Sahib’s bigger 5-year-old form. Now only Kabir Sahib in 5-year-old form was standing there.
Then Ramanand Ji said, “My doubt is dispelled. Oh Parmeshwar! How can we recognise you? You are standing in such a caste and attire. We ignorant living beings argued with you and became guilty, please forgive us, Purna Parmeshwar KavirDev, I am your ignorant child.”

Kabir Sahib (KavirDev/God Kabir) asked Swami Ramanand Ji, “Swami Ji, what pooja do you do?” Swami Ramanand Ji said, “I do sadhna according to the Vedas and Gita Ji.” Kabir Sahib asked, “Where will you go on the basis of the Vedas and Gita.” Swami Ramanand Ji said, “I shall go to heaven.” Kabir Sahib asked, “What will you do in heaven, Daata?” Ramanand Ji replied, “There is dearest God Vishnu Ji there. I will attain his audience everyday, and there are rivers of milk there, there is no worry, no tension there; I shall live there happily. Kabir Sahib asked, “Swami Ji, for how many years will you live in heaven?” (Ramanand Ji was a learned man and had knowledge. He understood within two minutes.)
Swami Ji said, “Whatever my earnings of bhakti will be, I will live accordingly.” Kabir Sahib said, “Swami Ji, you have done this sadhna infinite times. One can not get liberated by this. You want to go to heaven lok by doing sadhna of Shri Vishnu Ji. Those worshippers who by doing Brahm-sadhna go to Brahmlok, they too remain in the cycle of birth-death because one day Mahaswarg (Great heaven) which is built in Brahmlok will also get destroyed. Gita Ji’s Adhyay 8 Shlok 16, states this.” Swami Ramanand Ji was a learned man. The shloks were at his finger tips. Swami Ramanand Ji said, “You are right; this only is written.” Kabir Sahib said, “Tell me then where will you live, Gurudev?” Ramanand Ji was forced to think. Parmeshwar Kabir Ji asked, “Swami Ji, who narrated the knowledge of Gita Ji.” Swami Ramanand Ji replied, “Shri Krishna Ji did.” Parmeshwar Kabir Ji said, “Swami Ji, in Sanskrit Mahabharat Khand Two (page no 1531-old one and 667-new one), it is written that Shri Krishna Ji is saying to Arjun, now I do not remember that knowledge of Gita; I can not narrate it again.” Parmeshwar Kabir Sahib gave all the evidences.
In Gita Adhyay 8 Shlok 13, the giver of the knowledge of Gita (Brahm) is saying that—
Gita Adhyay 8 Shlok 13
ओम् इति एकाक्षरम् ब्रह्म, व्याहरन् माम् अनुस्मरन्,
य: प्रयाति त्यजन् देहम् स: याति परमाम् गतिम् ।। 13।।
Translation: The narrator of Gita, Brahm i.e. Kaal is saying that for doing my, Brahm’s, sumiran by chanting, there is only one syllable this ‘Om’. A worshipper who at the time of leaving the body goes while doing sumiran, he attains supreme state.
The implied meaning is that by entering like ghost into Shri Krishna Ji’s body, Brahm i.e. Jyoti Niranjan Kaal, who possesses thousand arms, is saying that a worshipper who does my i.e. Brahm’s sadhna by Om¢ naam unto the time of death, he achieves the benefits obtained from me; there is no other mantra for my bhakti.
In Gita Adhyay 8 Shlok 5 to 7 and 13, the giver of the knowledge of Gita has explained about his sadhna that one who does my sadhna by chanting Om¢ naam unto the last breath, he will attain me alone. Therefore you fight as well as do sumiran of my Om¢ naam because a battle is fought by making an outcry (a loud noise); therefore has said that by uttering (a loud noise) the Om¢ naam, do sumiran as well as fight.
Then in Gita Adhyay 8 Shlok 6 has said that it is a rule that in the final moments, remembering whichever God, a person leaves his body, he goes to him alone. God who gives the knowledge of Gita in Gita Adhyay 8 in the three shloks from 8 to 10 is telling about Purna Parmatma (Supreme Divine God Parmeshwar i.e. Purna Brahm) other than Brahm, that if someone leaves his body while doing His sadhna, then goes to that same Purna Parmatma (Parmeshwar) only. By Him alone, one attains complete liberation, Satlok and supreme peace. Therefore, go in the refuge of that God (Gita Adhyay 18 Shlok 62-66 and Adhyay 15 Shlok 4). I (Brahm, the narrator of Gita) am also in His refuge.
Seeing all the evidences with his eyes, Ramanand Ji bit his fingers between the teeth in astonishment and accepted the truth. Said that son, you are telling the right thing from the scriptures which is true. No one ever gave such knowledge to us. What do we do? Kabir Sahib said that it is written in Holy Gita Ji. Read Adhyay 8 Shlok 8, 9 and 10, and Adhyay no 18 Shlok no. 62.
The narrator of Holy Gita Ji and Holy Vedas, Brahm (Kaal) is saying that Arjun, go in the refuge of that God, then you will not die. For that (Adhyay 4 Shlok 34) search for those saints who know the absolute truth about that God. Prostrate before them (do dandwat pranaam), treat them respectfully with courtesy and honesty. When they are pleased, ask for initiation (naam) from them. Then you will not die again. In Holy Gita Adhyay 15 Mantra 1 to 4, it is said that this is an upside-down tree of world. The root above is Aadi Purush i.e. The Eternal God; the branches below are the three gunas (Rajgun-Brahma, Satgun-Vishnu, and Tamgun-Shiv). I (Brahm-Kaal) do not know about this tree of the whole world i.e. the creation of the entire nature. Here in our discussion i.e. in the knowledge of Gita Ji, I can not impart the complete knowledge to you. For that find some Tatvadarshi saint (Gita Adhyay 4 Shlok 34), then he will impart the knowledge of the creation of the entire nature and the state of all the Gods correctly. Thereafter, one should search for that Param Pad of Parmeshwar (supreme state of Supreme God), having gone in whom, a devotee does not take birth or dies again i.e. becomes completely liberated. The God who has created the tree of the world i.e. all the brahmands, I (Brahm-Kaal) also am in the refuge of that God. Therefore, worship that Parmeshwar. Swami Ramanand Ji said that this is precisely what is written, son. But I have not heard about this Satlok from anyone because of which my heart is not believing that it is true. Kabir Sahib asked that how do you do sadhna? Swami Ramanand Ji replied that I have accomplished my whole body. By practice of yog, I, passing through the lotuses within, reach Trikuti (trivaini). Kabir Sahib said that you may reach Trivaini once. When Ramanand Ji entered into a state of meditation (because it was his daily practice), there are three paths after reaching Trivaini. On entering the Brahmlok built in every brahmand, three paths arise. Likewise, beyond the twenty brahmands, there is a similar arrangement in the twenty-first brahmand. One way goes to the three secret places built in Brahmlok ahead, where Jyoti Niranjan lives in three forms. The Brahmrandhr ahead will not open by this naam of yours. This Brahmrandhr too will open by Satnaam. Kabir Sahib uttered His Satnaam through breaths, the front door opened up. Kabir Sahib said, “Now I will show you Kaal God whom you call formless; who says in Gita that I will eat everyone. Arjun! I never grant audience to anyone, I never appear before anyone.” Kabir Sahib said, “Now I will make you see him with your eyes.” First of all, showed Brahm (Kaal) in the secret places in Brahmlok built in one brahmand; he was in Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv form. Then exiting from the door which crosses Brahmlok, took to the twenty-first brahmand. Brahm (Kaal) also keeps an eye on the path which extends beyond Brahmlok, which is above the Jata Kundali Sarover (lake) so that no one should escape. The last lok of twenty-one brahmands is Kaal-Brahm’s (Kshar Purush) personal place. There he is sitting in the same dreadful appearance which is his actual form. Kabir Sahib said, “See, your formless God is sitting there; whom you call formless.” (Because the yogis did sadhna by ‘Om’ naam based on the Vedas; did not achieve God, attained supernatural powers, went to heaven, to great heaven, then became animals. Therefore everybody has accepted him to be formless that he is not visible, whereas it is written in Vedas that God is in form.) When approached Kaal ahead, then Sahib uttered His Satnaam along with Saarnaam. At that very moment, Kaal’s head bent down. Above Kaal’s head is that door through which one goes to Satlok and enters the lok of ParBrahm. After that, one Bhanvar cave starts. (There is also one Bhanvar cave in Kaal’s lok.) Kabir Sahib Ji’s hans (flawless devotees) go up by stepping on Kaal’s head. This Kaal acts as his stair. After crossing the lok of ParBrahm, Kabir Sahib took the soul of Shri Ramanand Ji to Satlok. (There is also a Bhanvar cave there.) On going to Satlok, Shri Ramanand Ji saw that Kabir Sahib (KavirDev) is sitting in His actual form. There is so much brightness in Kabir Sahib there as if in one hair follicle, there is more brightness than the combined light (but there is no warmth) of crore suns and crore moons. On going there Kabir Sahib started moving whisk on His own another form. Shri Ramanand Ji thought that this is God and this Kabir might be some servant here, but the lok is different from all. God is very effulgent. He is thinking all this, with that, the effulgent form of God stood up and Kabir Sahib in the form of the five-year-old child sat down on the throne. The actual visible effulgent form of God started moving whisk on Kabir Sahib in child form. Thereafter Kabir Sahib’s effulgent form vanished into Kabir Sahib in the child form. And Kabir Sahib is sitting on the throne only in the form of the five-year-old child; the whisk is moving itself. With that, sent Ramanand Ji’s soul back into his body. His meditation broke; saw in front of him that Kabir Sahib is sitting in the form of a fiveyear- old child. At that time, Swami Ramanand Ji said that —
Ramanand Ji said, “Oh Parmeshwar! Oh Kabir Parmatma! Oh Kabir Kartaar (Creator of the entire nature)! You alone are the Omnipresent Complete God.”
दहूँ ठोड़ है एक तूं, भया एक से दो। गरीबदास हम कारणे, आए हो मग जो।।
Oh God Kabir! You are in both the places, in Satyalok as well as in front of me and making two forms from one, have come here for us insignificant living beings.
मैं भक्ता मुक्ता भया, कर्म कुण्द भये नाश। गरीबदास अविगत मिले, मिट गई मन की बांस।।
Ramanand Ji, a 104-year-old greatman is saying to 5-year-old Kabir Parmeshwar that I, your Das (servant), have become liberated and the wandering of my mind has ended. I have obtained sight of God’s actual appearance. Oh Purna Parmatma Kabir Sahib (KavirDev)! All the four Holy Vedas and Holy Gita Ji are only singing your praises. KavirDev (Kabir Parmeshwar) Himself has said that —
बेद हमारा भेद है, मैं बेदों में नाहीं। जिस बेद से मैं मिलूं, बेद जानते नाहीं।
The meaning is that in all the four Holy Vedas, there is knowledge of Purna Parmatma only, but the way of worship is only upto Brahm (Jyoti Niranjan). For the knowledge about the way of worship of Parmeshwar Kabir (KavirDev) and for Tatvagyan, it has been stated in the Holy Vedas and Holy Gita Ji that only a Tatvadarshi saint can tell about it, who is God Himself or a true representative sent by Him. By obtaining initiation (updesh) from him, complete liberation and supreme peace is attained.
Discussion between God Kabir (Kavir Dev) and Gorakh Nath
Once, Gorakh Nath (a Siddh Mahatma) came to have a scriptural debate (for discussion on knowledge) with Swami Ramanand Ji (who was Sahib Kabir’s Guruji) in Kaashi. When they gathered for the discussion on knowledge at that time Kabir Sahib had also arrived with his venerable Gurudev Swami Ramanand Ji. Ramanand Ji was sitting on a high seat. In his feet Kabir Sahib (Purna Parmatma) was sitting in the form of a child. Gorakh Nath Ji also was sitting on a high seat and had embedded his Trishul (a trident) in the ground next to his seat. Gorakh Nath Ji said, “Ramanand, have a discussion with me.” At that very moment, Kabir Ji (Purna Brahm) in a child form said, “Naath Ji, first have a discussion with me. Later, talk to my Gurudev Ji.
Gorakh Nath asks God Kabir His age
On this Gorakh Nath Ji said, “You, a child Kabir Ji, since when did you become a yogi? Born yesterday i.e. a small child and want to have a discussion with me (with Gorakh Nath)! What is your age? And when did you become a Vairagi (saint)?
Sahib Kabir Ji tells Gorakh Nath Ji His age and since when did he become a Vairagi.
At that time Sahib Kabir had assumed the appearance like that of Vaishno saints similar to the appearance assumed by Shri Ramanand Ji. Like, sandalwood mark on forehead, a cap, a bag, coin, a favdi (a staff similar to the letter ‘T’ in English which is used for doing bhajan), and was also carrying a staff (a wooden stick). In the above hymn, Sahib Kabir says that when there was no creation (Kaal’s creation) was in Anami form and there was no one else. Because Sahib Kabir only had created the Nature of Satlok by His word, and then SatPurush also created the Nature of Kaal (Jyoti Niranjan / Brahm) when Jyoti Niranjan (Brahm) asked for a kingdom after doing tap (austerity practices). Since then I have been doing sadhna. When I used to live alone, when even there was no earth, know my cap to be existing since then. Brahm, who is the creator of the bodies of Gorakh Nath and his Guru machchhander naath etc and all the living beings had not even born. Since then I am wearing this mark on my forehead i.e. since then I (Kabir) am in form as SatPurush.
Satyug, Tretayug, Dwaparyug, and Kaliyug – infinite of these four yugas have passed in front of me. Kabir Sahib states that following the words of Satguru, I have attained the eternal-immortal abode (Satlok). Therefore I have explained the Tattav (the true spiritual knowledge) to all the living beings that, by taking updesh from a Purna Guru following his words throughout life and concentrating anf remembering Purna Parmatma then by going to that eternal-immortal Satlok you can be saved from the distressing crisis of birth and death.
On hearing this, Gorakh Nath Ji asks, “You have such a long life, however, you look like a child.
Satguru Kabir Sahib gives a description of his age to Shri Gorakh Nath siddh.
Infinite yugas have undergone destruction. Since then I am devotee i.e. I am immortal. Crores of Brahm (Kshar Purush / Kaal) God have died and reborn.
Age of Brahma, Vishnu & Shiv
One Brahma’s age is of 100 years (Divine Years).
One day of Brahma = 1000 (one thousand) chaturyug (four yugas) and same is the duration of the night.
{Note: - In one day of Brahma Ji, the term of rule of 14 Indras end. The term of rule of one Indra is 72 chaturyug. Therefore, in reality, one day of Brahma Ji is of 72 × 14 = 1008 chaturyug, and same is the duration of the night, but it is taken as one thousand chaturyug only.}
Month = 30 × 2000 = 60000 (sixty thousand)
Year = 12 × 60000 = of 720000 (seven lakh twenty thousand) chaturyug
Brahma Ji’s age —
720000 × 100 = 72000000 (seven crore twenty lakh) chaturyug
Vishnu Ji’s age is seven times that of Brahma —
72000000 × 7 = 504000000 (fifty crore forty lakh) chaturyug
Shiv Ji’s age is seven times that of Vishnu —
504000000 × 7 = 3528000000 (three arab 52 crore 80 lakh) chaturyug
Crores of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv with these ages also die, and then one Jyoti Niranjan (Brahm) dies. A conch shell blows at the time pre-set by Purna Parmatma. At that time, Great Destruction is caused by ParBrahm. It is believed so, but in reality all the arrangements are done by Purna Brahm in a hidden manner. Then one Niranjan (Brahm) dies. Kabir Sahib states that crores of Jyoti Niranjan have died, but my age has not even lessened by a second i.e. I am Eternal Purush (God). Kabir Sahib says that I am eternal. The other Gods resorting to whom you are doing bhakti, they are mortal. Then how can you be immortal?
अरबों तो ब्रह्मा गए, 49 कोटि कन्हैया। सात कोटि शंभु गए, मोर एक नहीं पलैया।
Kabir Sahib says that billions of Brahma have died and 49 crores of Krishna have died. Seven crore Shambhu (Shiv) have passed away, but even a single moment of mine has not passed
See here, who is the immortal Purush? When 343 crore Trilokiye (of the three worlds/loks) Brahma die, 49 crore Trilokiye Vishnu die and 7 crore trilokiye Shiv die, then one Jyoti Niranjan (Kaal-Brahm) dies, who has been called the Kshar (perishable) God in Gita Ji Adhyay 15 Shlok 16, and in this very Shlok one who is called Akshar (imperishable) is ParBrahm, who is also known as Akshar Purush. Akshar Purush i.e. ParBrahm also gets destroyed. Crores of this Kaal will also be finished. Then all the And-Brahmand will undergo destruction. Only Satlok will remain. Then Achint, by Satguru’s order, will do the creation. Then the Nature of this Kshar Purush and Akshar Purush will commence again.
Then what has been mentioned in Gita Ji Adhyay 15 Shlok 17 that, that Supreme Purush (Purna Parmatma) is however someone else who is known by the name of Eternal god. That Purna Brahm Parmeshwar SatPurush is Kabir Sahib Himself. Only SatPurush is eternal-immortal God and only His Satlok (Satdhaam) is eternal, and which is also the eternal abode. By doing bhakti of that place, a devout soul becomes completely liberated, and then never dies again. Kabir Sahib said that this is achieved by jaap of SohM shabd which is obtained froma Guru who is the knower of the ultimate secret, and then Saarnaam is obtained. Then one can reside in Satlok and attains SatPurush. Crores of pious souls like Narad and Muhammad have also come (born) and gone (died), and there is no count of the Gods. Then what account can be made of the ordinary human beings and other life forms? I (Kabir Sahib) am neither old nor a child; I live in the form of a youth, which is symbolic of divine power. This, I have appeared before you in a leelamayi body. Kabir Sahib says, “Listen to me, Gorakh Ji; this is my age which I have explained to you above.
Gorakh Nath flies and sits atop his trident
On hearing this, Shri Gorakhnath Ji flew by his supernatural power and sat on the upper part of the approximately 7-feet high trident embedded in the ground, and said that if you are so great then rise to my level (nearly 7 feet above the ground) and then talk to me. Hearing this, Kabir Sahib said, “Naath Ji, we have come here for discussion of knowledge and not for doing drama. You may come down and deliver true message of bhakti to all the bhakt community.
God Kabir sits atop a 150 feet long thread
Shri Gorakhnath Ji said that you do not have any power. You and your Guuru Ji are misleading the world. Today your pretensions will be revealed. If you possess any power, then come to my level. When on Kabir Sahib’s repeated requests also, Naath Ji did not retreat, then Sahib Kabir displayed His Parashakti (Purna Siddhi – supreme supernatural power). Sahib Kabir had a reel of raw thread in his pocket in which around 150 (one hundred and fifty) feet long thread was wound. He took it out and holding the thread from one end, tossed it in the sky. The whole thread unwound from the reel and stood upright. Sahib Kabir flew in the sky and sitting comfortably on the upper end of the vertical thread which was around 150 feet long, said, “Come, Naath Ji! Let us talk sitting at the same level.” Gorakhnath tried to fly up but retreated to ground instead. In front of Purna Parmatma (Supreme God), the siddhis (supernatural powers) become inactive. When every endeavour of Gorakh Nath failed then he realised that this is no ordinary bhakt or saint. He is definitely some incarnation (among Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh).
Gorakh Nath asks God Kabir to introduce Himself
Then Gorak Nath said to Sahib Kabir, “Oh Supreme Purush! Please come down and grace your servant by introducing yourself. What power are you? From which lok have you come?”
At that time, Kabir Sahib came down and said —
Sahib Kabir said, “Oh Avdhoot (Gorakhnath) Ji, I have come from the avigat place (the state and the mystery of which no one knows; I have come from that Satlok). I have myself acquiring a child’s form by my power have aappeared on a lotus flower in a pond, Lahartara, in Kaashi (Banaras) city. There I was found by a weaver couple named Neeru-Neema who took me home. I have no parents nor I have any wife, and that which is the real name of that Supreme God, that Kabir only is my name. Your Jyoti Swaroop whom you call Alakh Niranjan (the formless God) that Brahm also does my jaap. I am attained by a worshipper who does jaap of Satnaam i.e. only he knows correctly about me. My body is not formed of bone-flesh and blood. Emphasizing the magnificence of Satnaam, Kabir Sahib states that one can go to my original place (Satlok) on the basis of Satnaam. Indicating towards other devotees God Kabir (KavirDev) Ji is saying that I keep doing jaap of that God. By becoming worthy of going to Satlok by this mantra (Satnaam), and then by obtaining Saarnaam one becomes completely relieved from birth-death. I (Kabir Sahib, the Eternal God) have explained this taaran taran pad (way of worship) to you.” He told Gorakhnath Ji, “Oh pious soul! You are in the trap of Kaal Kshar Purush (Jyoti Niranjan) only. No one knows how many births you have had. Sometimes you suffered in the births of 84 lakh life forms. If you had not come in my refuge, Kaal would have destroyed your bhakti of the four yugas now (in Kaliyug).”
This Kaal is the master of the twenty-one brahmands. He has been accursed that he will eat one lakh human beings (gods and sages as well) daily, and will produce a lakh and a quarter (human beings). Thus, twenty-five thousand are increasing everyday. To keep them in place and to make them experience the results of their actions, Kaal has made 84 lakh births of various life forms by forming his law. In these a living being remains completely ignorant and from these extra living beings only, makes bodies like the microbes in blood, microbes in air etc-etc. his wife is Aadi Maya (Prakriti devi), Ashtangi (who has eight arms). From her only, Kaal (Brahm / Alakh Niranjan) gave rise to (by mutual union of husband and wife) three sons, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv. Making these three his firm associates has entrusted the task of production of bodies to Brahma, of maintenance to Vishnu and of destruction to Shiv. First of all, makes them do tap (austerity), then endow them with siddhis (supernatural powers) based on which gets his purpose accomplished by them, and then in the end, even kills them (when they become devoid of the powers) and produces three new sons. In this manner, he is running his Kaal lok. Above all these is Purna Parmatma. Know me (Kabir) as His incarnation only.
Gorakh Nath tests Kabir Sahib again
Gorakhnath became sure in his mind that there is some power who is the master of the lineage. Then Gorakhnath said, “See one more power of mine.” Saying this he started towards river Ganga. The crowd of all the spectators also went along. At around 500 feet, was the river Ganga. Jumping into it, said, “Find me in this. Then I will become your disciple.” Gorakhnath became a fish.
Sahib Kabir took the same fish out of the water and made it Gorakhnath in front of everyone. At that time, Gorakhnath accepted Sahib Kabir as the Purna Parmatma and became His disciple. By taking Satnaam and Saarnaam from Sahib Kabir did bhakti. Then he became librated from Kaal’s web.
The purport of Gita Ji Adhyay 14 Shlok 26, 27 is that a worshipper who practices unadulterous bhakti i.e. being fully dependent on me (Kaal / Brahm) (abandoning the worship of other gods-goddesses and Mata, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv etc) does bhakti by jaap of only my one mantra Om, that worshipper becomes worthy of attaining that Supreme God. And by doing further sadhna, also attains the supreme happiness of that Parmanand through me.
Like, if a student after doing Matric, B.A., M. A. and by taking admission into a course gets a job and getting employment becomes happy, then that Matric, B.A. or M.A. after which he entered into a course (training) was cooperative to him, but was not the giver of the job. Similarly, Kaal God (Brahm) is saying that I (Brahm) am cooperative in attaining the immortality, the everlasting nature and religion and the constant and permanent happiness of that Eternal god. In its evidence, it is said in Gita Ji Adhyay 18 Shlok 66 that relinquishing all other religious practices (sadhnas) in me, go in the refuge of one (Purna Brahm), then I will get all your sins forgiven. Like, the devout souls who exclusively did jaap of Kaal’s (Brahm) Om mantra, God Kabir granting them the further bhakti of that Purna Parmatma conveyed them across from Kaal’s lok. Like, the supreme devotee Namdev used to do jaap of only one naam Om. By that he had achieved several supernatural powers, even then could not get salvation. Then Kabir Sahib met Shri Namdev Ji and enlightened him about Satlok and SatPurush, gave him SohM mantra which is ParBrahm’s jaap. Then, Kabir Sahib gave Saarshabd to him which is jaap of Purna Brahm. Then Namdev Ji became liberated.
Likewise, Gorakhnath Ji also did jaap of one mantra Alakh Niranjan and did sadhna of chanchri mudra. Then Sahib Kabir gave him Om and SohM mantra. Then further, by giving Saarshabd released Gorakh Nath from Kaal’s trap.
Scriptural Debate between Maharishi Sarvanand and God Kabir (KavirDev)
There was a Maharishi named Sarvanand. His revered mother Shrimati Sharda Devi was suffering from the results of sinful deeds. She did all poojas and incantations for removal of her sufferings for years. For the removal of physical pain, she also took medicines from doctors, but did not get any relief. She also took updesh from Maharishis of that time, but all the Maharishis said, “Daughter Sharda, this punishment of your sinful deeds is of the deeds performed in the previous birth. This can not be forgiven; this has to be borne. God Shri Ram had killed Bali; the punishment of that sinful deed was borne by the soul of Shri Ram (Vishnu) as Shri Krishna. The soul of Shri Bali became a hunter who killed Shri Krishna Ji by shooting a poisonous arrow in his feet.” In this way, after listening to the views of guruji, mahants and saints-rishis, Bhaktmati Sharda was bearing the suffering of the sinful deeds performed in the previous birth by crying and with a sad mind. One day on the request of a close relative, she obtained updesh from Kavir Parmeshwar (KavirDev) i.e. Lord Kabir who had Himself appeared in bodily form (Swayambhu) in Kaashi city, and that very day became free from suffering. Because it is written in Holy Yajurved Adhyay 5 Mantra 32 that “Kaviranghariasi”i.e. (Kavir) Kabir (anghari) enemy of sins (asi) is; Kabir is the enemy of sins. Then in Adhyay 8 Mantra 13 of the same Holy Yajurved, it is written that Parmatma also finishes (EnasH EnasH) the sins of the sins i.e. the heinous sins. Lord KavirDev (Kabir Parmeshwar) said, “Daughter Sharda, this happiness was not in your fate. I have given this to you from my store and have given the evidence of being the destroyer of sins. Your son Maharishi Sarvanand Ji says that God can not forgive (destroy) sins! You obtain updesh from me and get your welfare done.” Bhaktmati Sharda by obtaining updesh from Parmeshwar God Kabir (Kavirdev), who had come Himself, got her welfare done. Maharishi Sarvanand Ji, who was the son of Bhakmati Sharda, had an eagerness to do scriptural debate. He had defeated all the contemporary scholars by doing scriptural debate. Then thought that I have to say to everyone that I have conquered all the learned men; why not ask my mother to keep my name Sarvajit. Thinking this went to his mother and requested her and said, “Mother, change my name to Sarvajit.” Mother said, “Son, is Sarvanand a bad name?” Maharishi Sarvanand said, “Mother, I have defeated all the learned men in scriptural debate; therefore, keep my name Sarvajit.” Mother said, “Son, defeat one more scholar, my Guru Maharaj KavirDev (Lord Kabir), then I will name my son Sarvajit instantly.” On hearing these words of his mother, Shri Sarvanand first laughed and then said, “Mother, you are innocent. That weaver (Dhaanak) Kabir is illiterate. What is there to defeat him? I will just go and come.”
Maharishi Sarvanand, loading all the scriptures on an ox, went in front of KavirDev’s (God Kabir) hut. First he met Kabir Parmeshwar’s adopted daughter Kamali at the well, then she came to the door and said, “Come Maharishi Ji, this is the home of Param Pita (Supreme Father) Kabir.” Shri Sarvanand Ji made Kamali fill his pot so much so that if one tries to put even a little more water in it, then it would overflow, and said, “Daughter, take this pot very carefully and give it to Kabir, and whatever answer he gives, tell me.” In the pot brought by daughter Kamali, Parmeshwar Kabir (KavirDev) Ji immersed a needle used for sewing clothes, some water came out of the pot and spilled on the ground, and said, “Daughter, return this pot to Shri Sarvanand Ji.” Sarvanand Ji asked the girl Kamali who brought the pot back, “What answer did Kabir give?” Kamali narrated the account of putting the needle by God. Then Maharishi Sarvanand Ji asked the Most Venerable Kabir Parmeshwar (KavirDev), “What answer have you given to my question?” God Kabir Ji asked, “What was your question?”
Shri Sarvanand Maharishi Ji said, “I have defeated all the scholars in scriptural debate. I had requested my mother to keep my name Sarvajit. My mother has said that she will change my name after I defeat you. The aim of sending a brimful pot to you is that I am filled to capacity with knowledge like this pot is with water. No more water will enter this pot; it will only fall out i.e. doing a discussion with me on knowledge will not reap any benefit. Your knowledge will not enter into me. Any discussion will be futile. Therefore write your defeat; this only is in your benefit.”
Venerable Kabir Parmeshwar (KavirDev) said, “The meaning of putting an iron needle into your brimful pot is that my knowledge (Tattavgyan) is so heavy (True) that just as the needle has settled on the bottom of the pot after displacing the water out of the pot, likewise, my Tattavgyan will enter into your heart by routing your false knowledge (lokved) out.”
Maharishi Sarvanand Ji said, “Ask question.” On seeing a well renowned scholar in a weavers’ (Dhaanaks’) colony, the nearby innocent illiterate weavers gathered to listen to the scriptural debate. Venerable KavirDev questioned:
कौन ब्रह्मा का पिता है, कौन विष्णु की माँ।
शंकर का दादा कौन है, सर्वानन्द दे बताए।।
Maharishi Sarvanand Ji’s answer: - Shri Brahma Ji is Rajogun and Shri Vishnu Ji is equipped with Satgun and Shri Shiv Ji is equipped with Tamgun. These three are Ajar-Amar i.e. immortal, Sarveshwar (God of all Gods), Maheshwar (the Greatest God) and Mrityunjay (one who has won over death). They do not have any mother or father. You are unknolwedgeable. You do not have knowledge about the scriptures. You have raised an absurd question. All the listeners present there applauded and supported Maharishi Sarvanand Ji. Venerable God Kabir (KavirDev) Ji said, “Maharishi Ji, read and translate the third Skand of Shrimad¢Devi Bhagwat Puran and the sixth and seventh Rudra Sanhita Adhyay of Shri Shiv Puran by making God a witness and keeping your hand on Gita Ji. Maharishi Sarvanand Ji took an oath by keeping hand on Gita Ji that I will say the right thing.
On Lord Kabir (KavirDev) Ji’s saying, he read the Holy Purans carefully. It is written in Shri Shiv Puran (Published from Gita Press Gorakhpur, whose translator is Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar) from page no. 100-103 that by the union (husband-wife act) of SadaShiv i.e. Kaal-form Brahm and Prakriti (Durga), Satgun Shri Vishnu Ji, Rajgun Shri Brahma Ji and Tamgun Shri Shiv Ji were born. This very Prakriti (Durga), who is called Ashtangi, is called Tridevjanni, the mother of the three gods (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv Ji).
It is clearly described in Third Skand of Holy Shrimad¢Devi Puran (Published from Gita Press Gorakhpur, Translator: Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar and Chiman Lal Goswami) from page no. 114-123 that God Vishnu Ji is saying that this Prakriti (Durga) is the mother of us three. I had seen her at the time when I was a small child. Singing praise of Mother (Durga), Shri Vishnu Ji said, “Oh Mother, I (Vishnu), Brahma and Shiv are perishable. We are in (aavirbhaav) birth and (tirobhaav) death. You are Prakriti Devi.” God Shankar said, “Oh Mother, if Brahma and Vishnu have originated from you, then I, Shankar, have also originated from you i.e. you are my mother too.”
Maharishi Sarvanand Ji on the basis of previously heard incomplete knowledge opposite to the scriptures (lokved) used to describe the three (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv) as imperishable and as those who never take birth (Ajanma). He used to read the Purans, but was still ignorant. Because Brahm (Kaal) says in Holy Gita that I am the intelligence of all the living beings (those who are under me in my twenty-one brahmands). Whenever I wish, can grant knowledge and whenever I wish, I can fill them with ignorance. At that time, after Purna Parmatma’s statement, the pressure of Kaal (Brahm) was removed and Sarvanand Ji became clearly aware that actually this is what is written. But out of fear of disrespect said, “I have read everything. Nowhere is this written.” He said to KavirDev (Kabir God), “You are a liar. What do you know about scriptures? We read it everyday.” Then what, Sarvanand Ji started speaking Sanskrit non-stop. For twenty minutes kept on speaking some other speech known by heart from the Vedas; did not narrate the Puran.
All the innocent listeners present there who were not even able to understand that Sanskrit, impressed by Sarvanand Maharishi Ji, in support started saying, “Wah Wah (splendid) Mahagyani (Great Scholar). In other words, declared Parmeshwar Kabir (KavirDev) Ji as defeated and Maharishi Sarvanand Ji victorious. Most venerable Kabir Parmeshwar (KavirDev) Ji said, “Sarvanand, you had taken oath of Holy Gita Ji and you forgot that too. When you are not accepting the truth written in the scriptures in front of you, then I lose and you win.”
A farmer’s son used to study in class seven. He had learned a little bit of English language. One day both father and son were going in a bullock cart in the fields. An Englishman came from ahead. He asked the way from the people in the bullock cart in English. The father said to the son, “Son, this Englishman is trying to prove himself to be very educated. You also know English language. Take his haughtiness out. Show him by speaking in English.” The farmer’s son recited an application for sick leave in English. The Englishman, irritated by the foolishness of that foolish child that I am asking the way and he is reciting an application for sick leave, tapped his forehead with his hand and took his car and went away. The farmer patted the back of his victorious son and said, “Well done, son. You have made my life successful.” Today you defeated an Englishman in English language.” Then the son said that father, I also remember ‘My best friend’. If I had recited that, then the Englishman would have left his car and run away. Likewise, KavirDev Ji is asking something and Sarvanand Ji is answering something else. These scriptural debates have ruined homes.
Most Venerable Kabir Parmeshwar (KavirDev) said, “Sarvanand Ji, you win and I lose.” Maharishi Sarvanand Ji said, “Give it to me in writing. I do not do an incomplete job.” God Kabir (KavirDev) Ji said, “You may do this grace as well. Write whatever you want; I will make a thumb print.” Maharishi Sarvanand Ji wrote that ‘In scriptural debate, Sarvanand won and Kabir Sahib lost’ and he made God Kabir put a thumb print on it. Sarvanand Ji went to his mother and said, “See the proof of your Gurudev’s defeat.” Bhaktmati Sharda Ji said, “Son, read it aloud.” When Sarvanand Ji read, then it was written in it that ‘In scriptural debate, Sarvanand lost and God Kabir (KavirDev) won’. Sarvanand’s mother said, “Son, you were saying that you have won, but you have lost!” Maharishi Sarvanand Ji said, “Mother, I was busy in the scriptural debate continuosly for many days. That is why, because of feeling sleepy, I have committed a mistake in writing. I will go again and will bring it after writing correctly.” The mother had put a condition that ‘I will only accept a written proof of victory and not a verbal one’. Maharishi Sarvanand went again for the second time and said, “Kabir Sahib, there has been a flaw in my writing; will have to write again.” Sahib Kabir Ji said, “Write again.” Sarvanand Ji, after writing it again and getting a thumb print, went to his mother and again found it to be opposite. He said, “Mother, I will go again.” He brought it again the third time and read it before entering into the house and found that it was written correctly. Sarvanand Ji did not take his eyes off the text and walking into his house started saying, “Should I read.” On saying this when he started reading, then in front of his eyes, the words changed. Third time again, this very proof got written that ‘In scriptural debate, Sarvanand lost and Kabir Sahib won’. Sarvanand could not speak. Then mother said, “Son, why do not you speak? Read what is written.” The mother knew that the ignorant child is going to strike against a mountain. The mother said to Sarvanand, “Son, God has come. Go and falling at his feet, ask for forgiveness and by taking updesh make your life successful.” Sarvanand Ji, falling at the feet of his mother, started crying and said, “Mother, this is God who has come Himself. You please come with me; I am embarrassed.” Sarvanand Ji’s mother took her son to God Kabir and got Sarvanand Ji also take updesh from Kabir Parmeshwar. Then that ignorant living being, who was called Maharishi, got salvation only after coming in the feet of Purna Parmatma (Complete God). Purna Brahm God Kabir (KavirDev) said, “Sarvanand, you did not understand the scriptures even on the basis of literacy. Because without coming in my refuge, Brahm (Kaal) does not allow anyone’s intellect to develop completely. Now again read these Holy Vedas, Holy Gita Ji and Holy Purans. Now you have become a Brahman. “Brahman soii Brahm pahchaane”, only he is a learned who recognises God and then gets his welfare done.
Important: 550 years ago, Kabir Parmeshwar (KavirDev) Ji also gave this knowledge of Holy Vedas, Holy Gita Ji and Holy Purans in His ordinary speech, which the maharishis from that time until now, describing it as a language with grammatical errors did not even find it important to read and said that Kabir is ignorant; he is illiterate. What does he know about the hidden secrets written in Sanskrit language in the scriptures and Shri Brahma Ji, Shri Vishnu Ji and Shri Shiv Ji have no mother and father. They never take birth (Ajanma), are immortal (Ajar-Amar), eternal (Avinashi) and God of all the Gods (Sarveshwar), Greatest God (Maheshwar), who have won over death (Mrityunjay). They are the creator of the entire nature and are endowed with the three gunas. They kept on giving these sorts of explanations until now. Today those very Holy Scriptures are with us, in which there is clear description about the mother and father of the three Gods (Shri Braham Ji Rajgun, Shri Vishnu Ji Satgun and Shri Shiv Ji Tamgun). At that time, our ancestors were illiterate and educated class did not have complete knowledge of the scriptures. Even then deliberately falsified the true knowledge given by God Kabir (KavirDev) that Kabir is telling a lie; it is not written in any scripture that Shri Brahma Ji, Shri Vishnu Ji and Shri Shiv Ji have any mother-father. Whereas Holy Purans are a witness that Shri Brahma Ji, Shri Vishnu Ji and Shri Shiv Ji take birth and die. These are not immortal and the mother of these three gods is Prakriti (Durga) and the father is Jyoti Niranjan / Kaal-form Brahm.
Today the whole human society, brothers-sisters, children, adults and elderly, sons and daughters are educated. Today no one can mislead that what ever is written in the sacred speech ofGod Kabir (KavirDev) Ji is not written in the scriptures.
Sacred Speech of Venerable God Kabir (KavirDev): -
In the aforesaid sacred speech, God Kabir Ji is saying to His personal disciple, Shri Dharmdas Ji that Dharmdas, this whole world is perplexed because of lack of Tattavgyan (true spiritual knowledge). No one has knowledge of the path to complete salvation and the whole creation of nature. Therefore, let me tell you the story of the nature created by me. The wise men will understand quickly. But, those who will not accept it even after seeing all the evidences, those ignorant beings are influenced by Kaal’s force; they are not worthy of doing bhakti (devotion). Now I will tell you how were the three gods (Brahma Ji, Vishnu Ji and Shiv Ji) born? Their mother is Ashtangi (Durga) and father is Jyoti Niranjan (Brahm / Kaal). At first, Brahm originated from an egg. Then, Durga was born. After getting attracted towards Durga’s looks, Kaal (Brahm) misbehaved with her and Durga (Prakriti) then took refuge in his stomach. I went there, where Jyoti Niranjan / Kaal was present. I took out Bhavani (Durga) from Brahm’s stomach and sent them 16 sankh kos away along with the 21 brahmands. Jyoti Niranjan did intercourse with Prakriti Devi (Durga). From their union, the three gunas [Shri Brahma Ji, Shri Vishnu Ji and Shri Shiv Ji] were born. All the living beings are held in Kaal’s trap because of worshipping these three Gunas only (Rajgun – Brahma Ji, Satgun – Vishnu Ji, and Tamgun – Shiv Ji). Until one gets the real mantra, how would one get completely liberated?
Tale of Jeeva and Datta (Tatva)
There is a city named Bharuch in Gujarat. There is a village named Mangleshwar in Bharuch city. Adjacent to that village, river Narmada divides a place into two parts and makes an island. Around 550 years ago from today, there was a village named Shuklatirth inhabited there. There were 30-40 houses in it. Two Brahmin brothers Jeeva and Tatva used to reside in that village. They listened to the spiritual discourses of saints. Those who are real saints only say that without a true saint, a living being cannot be salvaged. This human life will get wasted due to these misleading incomplete gurus. Then God knows in when and which era, a human life will be attained? Until then, this living being will keep wandering in the 84 lakh births of various species. To get a human life is not a child’s play. To lose it just like that is not wisdom.
Now both the brothers decided that it is completely true that it is a rare thing to attain a human life. If we haven’t done true bhakti in it, it will go in vain. If we will do bhakti of God in it and find the true path, then it will be fruitful, otherwise it is only dust. They had already taken initiation from a saint, but when they heard that without a complete saint, a living being cannot be salvaged, they thought that we will take initiation from a complete saint.
Now what will be the identity of a complete saint? Wherever we go, all the saints say good things, sing praises of God. We like them a lot. We can’t tell who is incomplete in them and who is complete? {Because they are themselves polite souls. They are God-loving souls. They have a distinct longing in them, but they don’t have any particular discretion in them.} They thought that what decision should we take? They themselves took a decision. They planted a shoot of a dried banyan tree, which had become completely dry and worthy of being burnt, in their courtyard just like a plant. They decided that we will wash the feet of all the great men and pour their foot-nectar on this. By whose foot-nectar this shoot will become green, we will consider him to be a complete saint and will take initiation from him and will surrender to him; otherwise, we won’t take initiation. They went to all the great men who had big ashrams and requested them to visit them. Some great men came to their house. They served them, fed them and then washing their feet, poured the foot-nectar on that dry shoot. Those who could not come to the poor men’s house, they washed their feet and brought their foot-nectar home and poured it on the dry shoot. But that shoot instead of turning green started putrefying. They adopted this method for nearly a year, but they didn’t find any saint by whose foot-nectar that shoot could turn green.
Then the two brothers cried before God that Oh Lord, we sinners got a human life, but in a time when there is no complete saint. Oh Benevolent, it is better that you finish us. Give us the rest of our human life when there is a complete saint on earth. Otherwise, this dust will go waste. They used to pray and cry; used to keep lamenting. Many months passed like this. Now that benevolent, omniscient Satguru, Supreme God Kabir, seeing the pang of the devotees, reached Suklatirth. He went past the house of Jeeva and Tatva. Jeeva was standing outside. Jeeva saw that such an endearing face and I am feeling blissful on looking at it.
Garib, jin milte sukh upje, mite koti upaadh
Bhavan chaturdash dhoondhiyo, param snehi saadh
When Supreme God passed in front of them, Jeeva felt joyous and had goosebumps. Meanwhile, God Kabir went ahead. Jeeva said to his brother, “Datta, a Mahatma has come. I don’t know what the reason is. He might be going to someone’s house. He is appearing very nice to me. If you give permission, I shall call him to our house.” Datta said, “Jeeva, it’s your wish, but I don’t feel like that, because there are no saints on earth now. This shoot will not become green by him too, and then we will have to cry. Don’t remind this forgotten thing.” Jeeva said, “It’s your wish, but I have an intense desire to call him once at our home. If you give the permission, then I will call him.” Datta said, “Why should I cause grief to your soul? When you have so much reverence, then it would be good if the saint comes.” Meanwhile, God Kabir again came back as if He was looking for someone’s house. One who develops true devotion in God, God can make any excuse to take him/her in His refuge. He can himself appear or send His saint. When He came near Jeeva’s house, Jeeva prostrating before Him, very politely said, “Oh Lord, Your servant’s hut is nearby. Please visit it once and place your feet in it, oh Benevolent.” God Kabir had come with that very motive. He had to fulfil his motive. He entered the house. They gave a seat to God. God Kabir sat down. Tatva said, “Jeeva, we will make foot-nectar of the saint, will wash His feet.” They washed the feet of Supreme God Kabir. Tatva said, “Jeeva, the foot-nectar of saints should either be drunk or poured over a plant. Don’t just throw it on the street.” Jeeva took that vessel and poured it over the dry shoot. As soon as the foot-nectar was poured over it, that dry shoot turned green and seedlings sprung up from it. Hail Satgurudev Ji. Hail Bandichhor God Kabir.
Now Jeeva was thrilled. He said to his brother Tatva, “Brother, come fast. Whom we were looking for has himself come today.” Now on seeing this, both the brothers were elated. They prayed to God, “God, where were you hidden to date?” Holding one foot each of God Kabir, they both started crying badly. They said, “Oh Benevolent! Why did you not come earlier?” God Kabir said, “I could have come earlier also, but your doubt wouldn’t have been dispelled. You would have thought that there might be one more Mahatma somewhere who might be greater than him. He might be more powerful than God Kabir. This task of yours would have been fulfilled by me, but even then you would have had a doubt in your mind that there might be one more Mahatma somewhere who might be a very big Mandleshwar, and you would have gone there too. Then what happens that :-
Guru ko taje bhaje jo aana, ta pashua ko fokat gyaana
When you find a complete saint, then your faith should not be in any other saint as you have in your Guru. You must respect others though.
Aaye ka aadar kare, chalte nivaave sheesh
Tulsi aise meet ko, miliyo bisve bees
Respect the saints, but not more than the Guru.
Jyon pativrata pati se raati, aan purush nahin bhaavae
Basey peehar mein, dhyaan pritam mein, aise surat lagaavae
When you will find a complete saint, you will gain complete knowledge; you will get the correct naam (mantra) and all your sorrows will be eradicated. It is essential to respect the saints. By disrespecting, hatred arises in us, and with hatred, God moves away. Like a loyal wife has a special love for her husband i.e., she actually worships him. Nevertheless, she gives due respect to her elder brother-in-law and sister-in-law, younger brother-in-law and sister-in-law, relatives and guests. We have to respect all the saints and devotees like this. But we don’t have to respect them the way we respect our Guru. Naturally, it cannot happen. The love a loyal wife can give to her husband, she cannot give to anyone else.” In this way, God Kabir explained everything to Jeeva and Tatva.
Then Jeeva and Tatva said, “Lord, do our welfare.” God Kabir said, “Take initiation.” Bandichhor gave them the first mantra and said that do its jaap for some time. I will come again and then will give you Satnaam. Satnaam-Satnaam is no mantra. That True naam, Satnaam, Satshabd is something else. If a saint gives this jaap of Satnaam-Satnaam, then that saint is not knowledgeable.
Sachanaam (Sachashabd, Satshabd) is different. God Kabir had given it to Dharamdas ji, Garibdas ji, Nanak ji, Naamdev ji, Gheesa Saint ji. That is Satnaam. First of all, only Paan Prvana i.e. the first mantra is given which is for paying the debt of the three worlds. Then in the second time, Satyanaam is given, and in the third stage, on the basis of worthiness and devotion, Saarnaam is given. Saarnaam is of three mantras. Thus, initiation is given in three stages.
In this way, the two brothers, Jeeva and Datta, by coming in refuge of God Kabir, attained salvation.
The Tale of Sheikh Farid (Baba Farid)
There was a dedicated God loving soul by the name of Sheikh Farid in Islam religion. In his childhood he was very naughty. His mother asked him to do Namaaz (prayer to God). He said why should I do namaaz, what will I get? His mother said That God (Allah) will give you dates because Sheikh Farid used to eat dates with great interest. Sheikh Farid exclaimed,"is that True!" The mother replied 'yes'. Sheikh Farid said, tell me how to do it? The mother spread a sheet and asked him to sit with his eyes closed and say, "Allah please give me dates". Sheikh Farid as directed sat down and started saying "Allah give me dates, Allah give me dates".
The mother said, until I say, don't open your eyes otherwise Allah will not give you the dates. On saying this the mother kept some dates wrapped in leaves under the sheet. When she finished her housework, she asked Sheikh Farid to open his eyes and look under the bed sheet. Sheikh Farid on getting the dates felt very happy and whenever his mother asked him to do namaaz, started doing namaaz. One day the mother forgot to keep the dates under the sheet and asked Sheikh Farid to open his eyes. When she saw Sheikh Farid eating dates, she asked him where he got the dates from. Then Sheikh Farid replied that Allah provides him the dates everyday. Shiekh Farid's mother was struck with amazement.
When Sheikh Farid grew up, he went to a Mahatma because of intense interest of bhakti. That mahatma was an ascetic. He said, son, salvation is not possible with fasting, namaaz and meat consumption. If you want to achieve God, then relinquish all the wrong ways of worship and do meditation. Sheikh Farid abandoned all his traditional worship and started doing service of his Guruji as a prime disciple and also did meditation as directed by his Guru. When his Guruji used to do deliver the spiritual discourse, he used to say that Allah (God) is formless and then used say that the only way to see the God is to do intense meditation. Other disciples also used to live in the ashram. Guruji had grown old. Everyone used to serve the Guruji in turns. Sheikh Farid was the best in the eyes of his Guruji. The other disciples thought of making Sheikh Farid fall in the eyes of Guruji so that Guruji remained happy with them. Guruji used to smoke a hukkah after having meals. Even if there was a two minute delay in getting his hukkah, Guruji used to cane the responsible disciple. The day Sheikh Farid's turn came, other disciples doused the fire which Sheikh Farid had prepared for the hukkah. When Sheikh Farid went to fetch the hukkah for Guruji after serving the meal, he found the hukkah fire doused. It was a rainy season. Sheikh Farid thought, the fire might have been doused by the moisture in the air. He was afraid of Guruji getting angry and was worried in case Guruji got upset, all his service would go futile. On thinking this, he took the chilam of the hukkah and ran to the nearby village which was at the distance of half a kilometer. On reaching there he asked a lady for fire. That lady was struggling with the fire in her oven while she was making chapattis. Because of rainy season the fire was repeatedly dousing. She was already annoyed and Sheikh Farid asked for fire. Out of irritation she said, "I have destroyed my eyes while making this fire, you also destroy your eyes, then only you would get fire."
Sheikh Farid thought, if he would not get any fire then his Guruji would get angry and his bhakti would be in vain. Then what will happen with this body?
कबीर हरि के रूठते, गुरु की शरणा जाय
कबीर गुरु जै रूठ गये, तो हरि ना करे सहाय
On thinking this Sheikh Farid pulled his eye out using tongs and presented it to the lady and asked for fire. When that lady saw that Sheikh Farid has literally pulled eye out, She out of fear pulled out fire from her oven and gave it to Sheikh Farid. Sheikh Farid covered his eye with a cloth, kept the fire in chilam of the hukkah and ran very fast. Guruji had already called for Sheikh Farid twice asking for hukkah. After calling the name on three occasions, if a disciple had not presented himself in front of the Guruji, then Guruji out of anger used to pick up a cane. When Guruji called Sheikh Farid's name the third time, he was at a distance of 200 feet and said, " I have come." Guruji while smoking the hukkah asked Sheikh Farid, "what happened to your eye?" Sheikh Farid replied, "nothing Guruji, an insect had gone in to the eye and has now come out. What can happen to a servant in your refuge? On hearing this Guruji started relaxing and Sheikh Farid silently kept on suffering from pain within himself.
In the morning, that lady brought that eye to the saint and asking for forgiveness said that in the night your disciple had come to me asking for fire. I was frustrated trying burn the damp wood. Out of irritation, I asked your disciple casually to destroy his eye if he wanted fire but he literally pulled his eye out. On saying this she showed that eye to the saint. Then Guruji called Sheikh Farid and said,"so much sacrifice?" Then Sheikh replied that, Guruji the whole body, rather every speck of this body is presented to you, then what significance has this eye got, Master?
Guruji asked Sheikh Farid to remove the cloth. When Sheikh Farid removed the cloth, the eye was completely healthy but was slighty smaller in size, i.e. the eye was not bad anymore rather became healthy. After a few years Guruji passed away. Shekih Farid thought if from this human body, he is not able to attain God, then the whole life is a waste.
On thinking this he kept on doing meditation as told by his Guruji. One day he thought of doing meditation by hanging upside down in a well.
He used to tie himself from his feet to a branch of a tree and then used to hang himself upside down deep inside a well, above the level of water and stay there for hours and meditate. He used to intermittently have food. Twelve years passed but he did not achieve God. In twelve years he consumed 50 kilograms of grain, due to which, he grew very weak. The flesh on his body shriveled. Considering Sheikh Farid to be dead, crows gathered around his body to pluck his eyes out. Sheikh Farid thought that the life is coming to an end but he hasn't attained Allah (God), What shall he do now? He said to the crows, "O crows, if there is any flesh left on my body then eat it that but leave my eyes, I may get to see Allah one day." On saying this he started crying profusely and went back in to the well.
Sheikh Farid's conversation with God Kabir
Then Supreme God Kabir Sahib came and pulled Sheikh farid out of the well. When Sheikh Farid came out, he said,"why are you disturbing me? What have I said to you, You do your own job and let me do mine."
Then Kabir Sahib asked Sheikh Farid about what he was doing in the well. Sheikh Farid replied that he was making an effort to meet and see God.
Kabir Sahib said that I am Allah (God). On hearing this Sheikh Farid said, "dont joke with me, Allah is not like this.
Kabir sahib asked,"what is Allah like then?" Sheikh Farid replied that Allah is formless. He is invisible
Kabir Sahib said to Sheikh Farid, "think what you are doing and what you are saying." On one hand you are saying that God is formless and then you are meditating on the other hand to meet or see the God.
You are doing hard labour to meet God and then yourself you are saying that God is formless ! After hearing these lines, noble soul Sheikh Farid understood that this man is some knowledgable soul. Sheikh Farid fell in to Kabir Sahib's feet and said,"please tell me the true path, I have suffered a lot." Kabir sahib said,"God cannot be attained by meditation. With meditation one becomes a ruler of a kingdom and then after ruling, is doomed for hell and the 84 lakh species of life and death." "Your Guruji showed you the wrong path and were unknowledgeable. He has wasted your life."
कबीर, ज्ञान हीन जो गुरु कहावे, आपन डुबा औरों डुबोवे
Then Sheikh Farid took initiation from the God present in form, did the recitation of "satnaam" i.e. did the recitation of the actual naam, then after getting "saar shabad" from Satguru Kabir Sahib made his life worthwhile and reached satlok and achieved complete liberation.
Tale of Seu & Samman
Restoration of a Dead Boy Seu to Life by Kabir Sahib
Once, Sahib Kabir made a surprise visit to his devotee Samman’s place with his two disciples (Kamaal and Sheikh farid). Samman had a family of three. Samman, Samman’s wife, Neki and Samman’s son, Seu. Bhakt Samman was so poor that at times there was not even a grain of food at home. The whole family used to sleep empty stomach. Today was a similar day. Bhakt Samman asked his Gurudev Kabir Sahib, “Please tell me about your plan. When would you like to have food?” Kabir Sahib replied, “Bhaai (brother), we are hungry. Prepare food.” Samman went into the house and said to his wife, Neki, “Our Gurudev has come to our house. Prepare the food quickly. Neki said, “There is not even a grain of food at home.” Samman said that bring some on debt from the neighbours. Neki replied, “I went to ask for flour, but nobody lent me any. Despite having flour, they intentionally did not give it to me. And are saying that today your Guruji has come to your house. You used to say that our Guruji is God. If your Guruji is God, then why are you begging? He will fill your stores. By saying such things they started ridiculing me. Samman said, “Give me your rag. I will pawn this and bring 3 ser (around 1 kg) flour. Neki said that this rag is torn. Nobody keeps it as pawn. Samman starts thinking and blaming his bad luck. He says, “How unfortunate I am. Today God has come to my house and I can not even feed him. Oh Parmatma! Why did you send such a sinful person on this Earth? I must have been a very sinful person who did not perform any virtuous deed in the previous birth. Now, what face should I show to Satguru?” Saying this he went into a the srore-room inside and burst into tears. Then his wife Neki said, “Have courage. Do not cry. God has come. He will be hurt. He will think that Samman is troubled by our arrival and is crying.” Samman stopped crying. Then Neki said, “Tonight you both, father and son, go and bring three ser (old measure of weight; around 1 kg) flour only for the saints and the bhakts.” Then son Seu said, “Mother, Guru Ji says that stealing is a sin. And then you also used to instruct me that son, one should never steal. Those who steal are completely ruined. What are you saying today, mother? Will we commit a sin, mother? Our bhakti will get destroyed. Mother, we will suffer in 84 lakh births. Do not say this, mother. Mother, I implore you by myself.” Then Neki said, “Son, you are right. It is a sin to steal, but son, we will not steal for ourselves but for the saints.” Neki said, “Son, the people of this city dislike us. We had told them that our Gurudev Kabir Sahib (Purna Parmatma) has come. He had brought back to life a dead cow and its calf who were split into half by Sikander Lodhi. He restored a dead boy and a girl to life. He terminated King Sikander Lodhi’s illness of burning pain. And Shri Ramanand Ji (Kabir Sahib’s Gurudev) whom Sikander Lodhi had killed with sword was also brought back to life by Kabir Sahib. The people of this city are ridiculing all this and say that your Guru, Kabir is a God; he will also fill your house with foodgrain. Then why are you wandering from door to door for flour? Son, these are ignorant beings. If, today, Sahib Kabir will leave without eating the foodgrain of this city then even Kaal God will become so annoyed that he might finish this city. Oh son! To prevent this mishap we have to steal. We will not eat. We will prepare Prasaad (blessed food) only to feed our Satguru and the bhakts.” On saying this, Neki’s eyes filled with tears and said, “Son, please do not say no.” then wiping the tears in his mother’s eyes, boy Seu said, “Mother, do not cry. Your son will obey your order. Mother, you are very good. Isn’t it?”
At midnight, both father (Samman) and son (Seu) went to steal. They bore a hole in the wall of a Seth’s (merchant’s) shop. Samman said, “Son, I shall go inside. If anyone comes, then inform me quietly. I will hand over the flour to you and you may run after taking it.” Then Seu said, “No, father. I will go inside. Even if I will get caught, then considering a kid they will forgive me.” Samman said,”Son, if they will kill you after capturing then how will I and your mother remain alive?” Thus, requesting Seu entered into the shop through the hole. Samman said, “Son, only bring 3 ser (1kg) flour, no more.” Tying nearly 3 ser flour in his ragged shawl, when boy Seu started to leave then he placed his foot on a weighing pan of a balance. A loud noise was produced, as a result of which the shopkeeper woke up and calling thief, thief, captured Seu and tied him to a pillar with a rope. Before this Seu threw that flour, tied in the shawl, outside through the hole and said, “Father, Seth has captured me. You may take the flour and feed Satguru and the bhakts. Do not worry about me.” After taking the flour Samman went home. Not finding Seu, Neki asked, “Where is the boy?” Samman replied, “Seth Ji has caught him and tied to a pillar.” Neki said, “You go back and bring Seu’s head by beheading him. Because on recognising the boy they will bring him to our house. And then seeing Satguru, the people of the city will say that he is the one who makes them steal. They may also cause trouble to Satguru Dev. We sinful people instead of food may show the cell to our Daata (generous God).” Saying this, a mother is telling her husband to behead her son, that too for Gurudev Ji. Samman held a dagger in his hand, went to the shop and said, “Son Seu, bring your neck out once. I have to say something important to you. We may not be able to meet tomorrow. It is possible that he may get you killed.” Seu said to that Seth (Baniya) that Seth Ji, my father is standing outside. He wants to say something important to me. Please loosen my rope so much so that my neck can go out of the hole. Then Seth accepted his appeal and loosened his rope so that his neck easily got out. Then Seu said, “Father, behead me. If you will not behead me then you are not my father.” Samman instantly struck with the dagger and on cutting the head took it home. On seeing the boy murdered, Seth dragged his dead body and put it in a nearby kiln.
Neki said to Samman, “You go back and you will find the boy’s trunk outside now. Bring it also.” When Samman arrived at the shop, by then the Seth had closed the hole in the wall of that shop. Samman following the traces of the dragged corpse reached the corpse and brought it home. He kept the trunk in the store-room and covered it with old clothes (tattered clothes) and placed the head on a shelf in an almirah, and shut the door.
After some time the sun rose. Neki took bath. Then prepared food for Satguru and the bhakts. And then requested Satguru Kabir Sahib Ji to have food. Neki respectfully served food in front of the trio, Sahib Kabir and the two bhakts (KamaaL and Shekhfareed). Sahib Kabir said, “Distribute this in six bowls and you three may also sit. Have this lovely blessed food.” On many requests also, Sahib Kabir did not agree, then the food was served in six bowls. The five sat down to have food. Then Sahib Kabir said –
Aao seu jeem lo, yeh prasaad prem
Sheesh katat hain choron ke, sadhon ke nitya kshem
Sahib Kabir said that Seu, come and have food. The thieves are beheaded and not the saints (bhakts). They are always forgiven. Sahib Kabir had just said this, when immediately Seu’s head became fixed on his trunk. There was no sign of cut on his neck, and Seu came, sat in the row and started eating. Say – Kabir Sahib (Kaviramitauja) Ki Jai (Hail to Kabir Sahib)!
Samman and Neki saw that there is no mark on Seu’s neck. How did the boy became alive? Went inside and saw that there was no head and trunk there. There were only splashes of blood, which was a proof left to dispel the doubts of this sinful mind (mann). Sat Sahib!!
Sahib Kabir (Kaviragni) has performed lots of such divine acts, from which it is self-evident that He is Himself, the Purna Parmatma. In Samved Sankhya no. 822, it is said that KavirDev extends the age of His lawful/true friend.
God Kabir (Kavir Dev) and Sultan Ibrahim Adham of Balakh Bukhara
Sultan Ibrahim Adham was the ruler of kingdom of Balakh Bukhara. He had sixteen thousand wives. He was a very wealthy king and had 18 lakh horses, plenty of elephants and a huge army. Whenever King Adham's procession mounted on an elephant used to pass, even Indra (the king of heaven) used to feel ashamed, just because of the splendour. His footwear used to have embedded jewels worth Rupees 1.25 lakh each.
Once upon a time a saint did fraud with Sultan Ibrahim and deceived him. Following that Ibrahim developed hatred towards saints. He started considering them as frauds who deceive the world. He used to call the saints and ask them, " What is God like?" Now God is not an object which someone can pull from his pocket and produce in front of someone else. On not getting a satisfactory answer, the king used to punish them by putting them in jail and asking them to grind the mill stone.
Once a satsang (discourse) was happening close to the king's palace. The king listened to the satsang sitting on the roof of his palace. In the morning he called all the devotees and asked them the same question, "tell me what is Allah like?" One saint replied and asked for a glass of milk. A glass of milk with sugar was brought. That saint put his finger in the milk glass as if he is looking for something. The king asked the saint to drink the milk and said it is already sweetened. The saint said, "King your milk doesn't have ghee (clarified butter) in it, it is said that milk contains ghee." On this the king started laughing and said, " Fool you don't even know how ghee is made from milk, What God will you achieve." Listen, "First the milk is made hot, then it is made in to yoghurt and then it is churned and finally ghee is produced by heating it, understood?" The saint replied, "like there is a proper procedure to make ghee from milk, similarly to achieve God, there is a procedure to follow." A saint will tell that procedure and one has to follow that.
Ibrahm Sultan put them all in jail and punished them by asking them to grind the mill stone. When those saints became very distressed, they prayed to God and asked for help. God Kabir arrived from his satlok and assuming an appearance of a camel trader (a man who keeps camels) appeared on the terrace of the king's palace and started hitting the floor with his stick heavily. The king said,"who is making this noise on the terrace, bring it down." The guards went upstairs and brought the camel trader and presented him before the king. The king asked the camel trader what he was doing on the terrace. God Kabir (who was in the form of camel trader) said that he was looking for his camel which has gone missing on the terrace. (In some literatures God Kabir has been referred to as Al Khidr) The king said,"ignorant man, can a camel be ever present on a roof?" Look for him in a jungle. God Kabir said that like it is impossible to find a camel on a roof, similarly you can't find God the way you are looking for Him. Attainment of God is possible via a complete saint only. On saying this God Kabir disappeared. Then appeared in the prison where other saints were given the punishment of grinding the mill stone. On reaching there God Kabir said to the guards that the king has also punished him to go to the prison and now tell me what I have to do. The guards said its your misfortune that you have come yourself, now go and start grinding a mill stone. God Kabir said that we will do one thing only, either we will grind the mill stone or we will put the grain in it. we will not do both the tasks. The guards thought that he is a revolutionist who has come to the prison, lets set him right. The guards said, "OK, you all grind the mill stone and we will put the grain in it." God Kabir said, "that is OK." God Kabir directed all the saints to stand up. On this all the saints stood next to their mill stones. God Kabir had a stick in his hand. He touched this stick to his mill stone and the mill stone started rotating. Then all the mills started rotating on thier own automatically. God Kabir asked all the saints to close their eyes. All the saints closed their eyes. Then God Kabir asked them to open thier eyes. When they opened their eyes, all of them standing outside in the forest. The prison became empty. God Kabir asked all of them to run away and never appear again in the kingdom of this ignorant king. Subsequently all the saints ran away and crossed the boundary of the kingdom. God Kabir disappeared.
When God Kabir disappeared in front of the king, the king became very upset and fainted. The ministers and wives called for an exorcist who tied an amulet to the king's right arm. After a few days God Kabir appeared in the form of a guest. Assuming the form of a traveller, God Kabir entered the king's palace and addressing the king as an inn keeper asked for a room and its rent in his inn to spend a night. The king replied,"Ignorant man, does it appear to be an inn to you?" This is my palace. God Kabir said, "Who lived her before you?" Ibrahim replied, "My father". Then God Kabir asked, "Who lived her before your father?" Ibrahim replied,"My grandfather." God Kabir asked, "Who lived here before your grandfather?" Ibrahim said,"My great grandfather." Then God Kabir asked about the whereabouts of all of them. Ibrahim worringly said,"They all died." God Kabir said, "Fool, how long will you live here?" Sultan said that he will also die one day. God Kabir said, "Then do you think this a palace or an inn."
तेरे बाप दादा पड़ पीढ़ी, ये बसे सराय में गिद्धी
ऐसे ही तू चली जाई, यूं मैने यह महल सराय बताई
On saying this God Kabir disappeared. The king fainted. Again the queens and the ministers came. They called another exorcist who tied an amulet to the king's left arm.
After a few days God Kabir appeared inside king Ibrahim's palace with a bull. The king asked, "Who are you?" God Kabir said, that you had said that somebody should answer your question that what is God like, I have come to give your answer. Sultan Said, "Tell me what is God like?" God Kabir said, "Bull, tell the king what Allah is like." The bull said that This is Allah standing close to me, This is Complete God, He is the God of infinite crore brahmands (universe), get your welfare done." Ibrahim stood up to touch his feet, instantly God Kabir along with the bull disappeared. The king again fainted. Again the family members gathered and called a muslim priest who tied an amulet around the king's neck.
Gradually after a month or two, the incident became stale and faded. The king used to rest in his garden during the day time and a new maid used to prepare the bed for the king everyday. One day God Kabir assuming the form of a maid servant prepared the bed of king and then himself laid on the bed. The king arrived and saw the maid resting on his bed. He thought that the maid has gone mad and has forgotten the difference between upper and lower class. The king lashed the maid three times. God Kabir (in the form of maid) got up and initially cried and then started laughing uncontrollably. Ibrahim thought that even a horse would fall after being lashed in such a way and this maid only cried momentarily and now is laughing uncontrollably, what is the matter? The king asked, "Why did you cry and then laugh?" God Kabir replied that I cried because it was hurting but then I laughed because I only lied on your bed for 22 minutes, as a result of which I got three lashes. "You sleep on this dirty bed day and night, that is why I am laughing."
मैं तो एक घड़ी सेजा सोई, ताते मेरा यह हाल होई
जो सोवे दिवस और राता, उनका क्या हाल विधाता
Ibrahim Sultan Adham held the hand of God Kabir (in the form of maid). Instantly God Kabir disappeared and Ibrahim fainted. He recovered in two hours. All the ministers, queens, and the soldiers gathered. The king became very upset. He started losing interest in the kingdom. He lost all interest in wealth and property. The whole family became worried because Ibrahim lost interest in the kingdom and the family was worried about the king abandoning the kingdom. A few days later the king was flying his domestic pigeons from his terrace when an eagle came and took one of his pigeons. Ibrahim stood helpless. At that very instant a voice came from the sky and said, "Start doing the worship of God otherwise Kaal will take you away like the eagle took the pigeon." Ibrahim became very worried. He started thinking,"What is this life like? There are no guarantees and no one knows what might happen when. Moments ago this innocent pigeon was flying and living with his family and the next moment 'Kaal form eagle' came and killed it." After hearing the voice from the sky, the worries of the king escalated. He stopped eating food. A few days passed like this.
The queens and the ministers thought that we should take the king on a hunting expedition so that he feels better. He remains tense all the time. The queens and the ministers requested him, “King, let’s go out somewhere. When we will stay outside for a week –ten days, you will feel better. We will go hunting. The king agreed. Making all the arrangements of food and drinks, taking some soldiers with them, they set forth for hunting. They stopped in the jungle in the evening. Next morning, they went hunting. Afternoon came; they didn’t get any prey. Meanwhile a deer came. The king said, “Everyone be alert. This deer shouldn’t escape. If it does, it will be taken from the person by whom it will pass.” By God’s grace, that deer passed under the horse of the king.
The king considering it to be his weakness ran after the deer. He made his horse run. The deer on going very far disappeared. The king became perplexed. He thought that whether the deer went this way or the other. The king felt very thirsty. The horse also became very distressed out of thirst. Such a state arose that if they didn’t get water in ten minutes, both the king and the horse could die. The king prays to God, “Oh Lord, save us.” Immediately, they saw that there was a beautiful pond ahead and a garden. There was also a well in it. A Jinda Mahatama (a Muslim Fakir has a special attire; he is called Jinda Saint. He wears a black cloak and a conical hat on head.) holding three dogs was sitting there.
At first, the king made the horse drink water; then tied it to a tree. Then he himself drank water. Then he saw that a Mahatma is sitting there. He has very beautiful dogs tied there. The king thought, “Let me take two dogs out of these and I will keep them in my kingdom.” He sat close to the Mahatma. He greeted him “Salaam Valekum” and said, “Mahatma ji, what will you do of these three dogs? Give two to me.” God Kabir in Jinda form said, “These dogs are not for giving away just like that. This first dog was the king of Balakh Bukhara. I had advised him a lot that King, you should do bhakti of God, but he did not listen. Now he has become a dog. I have tied it. This second dog is his father and the third dog is his grandfather. Now I beat them every day. And they want to eat these cashews, halwa and kheer kept in front of them, but I don’t let them eat and beat them. Now they are craving for the cashew halwa. And this empty dog leash which is kept here, I will tie that King Ibrahim Sultan Adham, who is currently sitting on the throne of Balakh Bukhara, with this. He will also become a dog. He is also not doing bhakti. I will tie him with this and beat him up.” Saying this, he started lashing all those dogs.
Ibrahim said, “Mahatma ji, I am the emperor of Balakh Bukhara.” God Kabir says that :-
Ye tere baap dada the bhai, inhein badi badfael kamaayi
Ab tu takht baith kar bhooli, tera man chadne ko sooli
Ibrahim Sultan Adham fell at God Kabir’s feet. Holding his feet, he kept crying for hours. Thereafter when he opened his eyes to pray, he saw that neither was the Jinda Mahatma in front, nor the dogs, nor any pond or garden and nor a well. Now he couldn’t believe it to be a dream because the feet of the horse were still wet. He had himself drunk the water. He realised that He was God. He had come to save me from thirst and to warm me. Had I not obtained water, I would have died and the kingdom would have been left behind. The king came back. He didn’t speak to anyone. He signalled the ministers and the soldiers who had come hunting with him with his hand as if he was saying, “Let’s go from here.” The entire convoy loaded their stuff and left with him. They had return in a week. They reached home the next day. The queens asked the ministers, “What happened?” The ministers said, “The Emperor had gone alone after a prey in the jungle. When he returned, he didn’t speak to us. We don’t know what incident happened with him and he is very distressed.” Ibrahim sat down in a room. The queens went to him. The ministers also stood there. The queens said, “You are saying like women that you saw this and that. Women say such things. You are a man and you are saying this!
At that time, a dog came. That dog had a very deep wound in its head. It was infested with worms. The dog came right in front of Ibrahim and said to him, “Ibrahim, look at my head. I have to bear the evil deeds I have committed. I also was a king of so and so empire. I had died in such and such way in a battle with that king. Whatever oppression I inflicted is in front of me today, Brother. I have obtained this life of a dog and on top of that have worms in my head. If you want to get your welfare done, this is a good opportunity. Don’t miss it.” Immediately, that dog ran away (disappeared).
Ibrahim said, “Look, what were you saying? Even the dog was speaking. Then Ibrahim said to all the people and relatives present there, “You all go out of the room.” He made them all go out and locked the room from inside. At night, he coloured his face black so that no one can recognise him. He only wore a shawl and shoes in his feet and renouncing his home and kingdom went away. He covered atleast 15-20 kilometres at night. Morning came. He was feeling very hungry. A female gardener was selling berries. Ibrahim said the gardener, “Gardener, I am very hungry. Give me berries. What is the price?” The gardener said, “I give about a k.g. of berries for an anna (1Rupee = 16 annas). Give me an anna and you can have a k.g. of berries.” Ibrahim said, “Gardener, I don’t have an anna. My one shoe is worth 1.25 lakh rupees. It is embedded with diamonds and emeralds. I will give you this shoe; you give me berries.” She said, “I want an anna. From where will I get the change?” Distressed by hunger, Sultan said, “I don’t need change. I don’t want any money back. You can keep the whole shoe. I am going to die with hunger. Give me berries.” The gardener weighed a k.g. berries and put them in Ibrahim’s pouch. One berry fell from the weighing scale on the ground. The gardener said, “It is mine.” Ibrahim said, “It is mine.” Now both started quarrelling. When the quarrel escalated, God Kabir came and said, “Fools, have you both taken leave of your senses?” He said to the gardener, “You have got a shoe worth 1.25 lakh rupees, still you are quarrelling over a berry!”
Savaa lakh ki paanvdi, ek aane ka ber
Dekh Adham Sultan ne, kaisi daari mer
He slapped Ibrahim on his face and said, “You have given up a shoe worth 1.25 lakh rupees and are quarrelling over a berry. Fool, what kingdom did you relinquish? A fight over a berry is similar to a fight over a kingdom. What have you renounced? You are still carrying the same arrogance of “I-Mine” with you.” Ibrahim fainted. When he regained consciousness, neither there was the gardener nor the berries. It was all the divine act of Satguru. (It was God Kabir himself in the form of the female gardener and in the other form as well. He instructs us, living beings, in every respect.) Then God Kabir said, “Ibrahim, now take initiation and you may go and rule your kingdom.” Ibrahim said, “Now your servant cannot rule the kingdom. Oh Benevolent, now i will stay in your feet.” God Kabir gave him first initiation and said, “Son, I will remain with you; don’t worry.” Saying this, God Kabir disappeared.
Ibrahim Sultan Adham set forth towards the jungle. It started raining on the way and a cold wind started blowing. It was night time. Ibrahim Sultan Adham spent the night behind a hut to save himself from the cold wind. At night, the master of that hut and his wife were talking to each other that due to good rain, there will be good grass in our fields and a good crop. Due to which our only cow will give more milk. We will have so much comfort that even the emperor of Balakh Bukhara does not have. They did not even have any child. Ibrahim Sultan Adham was listening to all this account sitting behind the hut. In the morning, Ibrahim asked them, “How many children do you have?” That man said, “We do not have any child.” Ibrahim asked, “How many animals do you have?” The owner of the hut replied, “We have only one cow.” Then Ibrahim Sultan Adham said, “You should do bhakti and recite the name of God, and leave the desire of these worldly comforts. This life is of two days. Take initiation from a complete guru and make your life successful. Let me take you to my Gurudev and get you initiation, and get your welfare done. What were you saying at night that your comforts will be more than that of the emperor of Balakh Bukhara? You have one wife with squinted eyes and an old cow. You are considering this to be an invaluable property. This is your mistake.”He told him, “I am the emperor Ibrahim Sultan Adham of Balakh Bukhara. I have gained knowledge from my Gurudev and relinquishing that entire transitory property, I remain engrossed in the Bhakti of God.” Hearing this from the mouth of Ibrahim Sultan Adham, the owner of that hut said, “Either you are not the Emperor Ibrahim Sultan Adham or if you are and you have relinquished the kingdom, then there is not a bigger fool than you, and we cannot make a mistake like you. Mind your own business.” Then Ibrahim Sultan said, “Oh God, this silly person cannot relinquish a woman and a cow. Lord, how did you shower your grace on a despicable person like me? In what words shall I praise you?
Garib, raandi daandi na taje, ye nar kahiye kaag
Balakh Bukhara tyaag diya, thi koi pichhli lag
Kabir, Satguru ke updesh ka laya ek vichaar
Jae Satguru milte nahin, to jaate narak dwaar
Kabir, narak dwaar mein doot sab, karte khencha taan
Unse kabahu na chhootta, firta charon khan
Kabir, chaar khaani mein bharamta, kabahu na lagta paar
So fera sab mit gaya, mere Satguru ke upkaar
Kabir, saat samundra ki masi karun, lekhni karun banraay
Dharti ka kaagaj karun, Guru gun likha na jay
Once, Ibrahim Adham became distressed by hunger. Immediately, a plate with various types of food items, halwa, poori, yoghurt, kachaudi, pakaudi, kheer, came from sky. Ibrahim lifted the cloth and saw that there are the same royal food items in it. He said with folded hands, “God, I had renounced all this only; I will get entangled in this again. Please give me dry bread (roti).” An ether voice occurred that –“Son, when you have such feelings in your heart, then these will not have any effect on you. Have food.” Ibrahim said, “God, I will sustain myself by cutting wood. Your servant will become arrogant. Please don’t do this.” After that he used to bring wood from the jungle, sell them and do his mantra jaap. God Kabir had said, “I will give you Satnaam after some time.” After some time, God Kabir gave him Satnaam, and said, “Son, when you will become worthy, I will give you Saarnaam.”
Attainment of Saarnaam by Ibrahim
One day, Ibrahim thought that I will request God Kabir for Saarnaam. I will request that if your servant has become worthy and kindly grant Saarnaam. Ibrahim was going to meet God Kabir. On the way, a sister was throwing rubbish from her terrace, and that rubbish accidently fell on Ibrahim Sultan. Ibrahim Sultan eyes turned red in anger and he said, “Had I been a King today, I would have taught you a lesson.” That girl had also taken initiation from God Kabir. When that girl came in satsang, she saw Ibrahim sitting there.
The girl asked asked God Kabir, “Maharaj ji, was this devotee a king at some point?” God Kabir asked, “What happened, daughter?” That girl told, “He was coming. Accidently I dropped rubbish over this devotee. I didn’t pay attention from above. He expressed a lot of resentment and said, “Had I been a King today, I would have taught you a lesson.” When Ibrahim requested God Kabir, “Oh Satguru, if your servant has become worthy of Saarnaam, then kindly show grace”, God Kabir said, “You are still a king; you haven’t become a servant.” Ibrahim thought that it has been a long time since I have left the kingdom. If God has called me a king, then definitely there is a shortcoming in me. God Kabir gave him a date saying that come that day. On that predetermined day, Ibrahim Sultan Adham was coming to the satsang. God Kabir said to the girl, “Daughter, now he will come on this day and at this time. Keep an eye out. Put mud on him from above.” That girl put mud on Sultan from above. That girl pretended to be sorry and said, “Devotee, I did it by mistake. I did not pay attention.” Ibrahim Sultan Adham said, “Doesn’t matter. This body of five elements is also dust itself. You have only put dust on dust, sister. Never mind. It doesn’t matter. I will wash this mud.” Saying this, Ibrahim Sultan came in satsang. God Kabir asked the girl, “When you put the mud on him, how did he react?” The girl said, “Maharaj ji, today he said that you have put dust on dust. It doesn’t matter, sister. God, today he didn’t get angry.”
After the satsang, Ibrahim prayed to God Kabir, “If your servant has become worthy of Saarnaam, then God, show grace.” God Kabir said, “Son, You have become worthy of Saarnaam today. Now I will give you mantra.” God gave him Saarnaam. Then Ibrahim got liberated.
God Kabir (Kavir Dev) and Delhi's Emperor Sikandar Lodhi
Restoring a Dead Cow to Life
Bandichhor Kabir Sahib is the Complete God (Purna Parmatma). He is the ordainer of infinite crore brahmands. Once, on hearing the true spiritual instructions of Kabir Sahib, Hindus and Muslims became displeased with Him and gathering in large numbers came to Sikander Lodhi, the Emperor of Delhi (who had gone to Kaashi). They made a false complaint against Kabir Sahib. The Muslims said that this Kabir is spoiling the image of our religion. He says that Khuda (God) is not in Mosque. I only am God. Those who eat meat are sinful people. God will punish them and they will go to hell.

This Kabir is a Kafir (a disbeliever). He does not eat meat. He has no compassion in his heart. He himself worships and makes others worship opposite to the religion. King Sikander Lodhi said that arrest that Kabir and bring him. Instantly, ten soldiers went, tied and brought Sahib Kabir. They made him stand before the king. Sahib Kabir stood silently. Sikander Lodhi asked, “Who are you? Why don’t you speak? You call yourself God.”
Then Sahib Kabir replied, “I only am Alakh Allah (bechoon Khuda – the formless God).” Disturbed by this truth, Sikander Lodhi split a cow into two halves with a sword. The cow was pregnant and so the calf was also split into two halves. Then the king, Sikander Lodhi, said, “Kabir, if you are God then restore this cow to life; otherwise, you will also be beheaded.” Sahib Kabir first touched the two pieces of the cow and then that of the calf’s. Instantly both mother and son became alive. Sahib Kabir milked the cow and filled a large bucket, and said
गऊ अपनी अम्मा है, इस पर छुरी न बाह।
गरीबदास घी दूध को, सब ही आत्म खाय।।
कबीर, दिनको रोजा रहत हैं, रात हनत हैं गाय।

When Sahib Kabir stood up, a brightness of infinite lightenings became visible from his body. King Sikander Lodhi fell in Sahib Kabir’s feet and asked for forgiveness and said
आप कबीर अल्लाह हैं, बख्सो इबकी बार। दासगरीब शाह कुं, अल्लाह रूप दीदार।।
Oh Kabir Sahib! You are God in reality. Please forgive me. The Emperor of Delhi, Sikander Lodhi, sent Sahib Kabir home in a litter (a conveyance consisting of a chair or bed carried on two poles by bearers).
Restoration of a Dead Boy Kamaal to Life
A corpse of a boy (approximately 12 years of age) was coming flowing in water. Sikander Lodhi’s spiritual guru (Peer) Shekhtaki said that I will accept Kabir Sahib as God only if he restores this corpse to life before me. Sahib thought that if this Shekhtaki will accept my word and will recognise the PUrna Parmatma, then he may direct all the Muslims to the true path and they may become liberated from Kaal’s trap. King Sikander Lodhi and hundreds of soldiers were present on the bank of that river. At that time, Sahib Kabir said that Shekh Ji – you may try first, otherwise, will later say that even I could do this. On this Shekhtaki said that this Kabir thinks that after sometime this corpse will flow further away and the trouble will be averted. At that very moment, Sahib Kabir said, “Oh soul! Wherever you are, by Kabir’s order enter into this corpse and come out.” Immediately that twelve years old boy became alive and came out and prostrated in Sahib’s feet. All the people present there said, “Sahib has done a miracle (Kamaal).” That boy was named ‘Kamaal’ and Sahib kept him with him as his son. The news of this incident spread to far-off places. Kabir Sahib became very popular. Lakhs of wise devout souls started getting their welfare done by seeking refuge in one God (Sahib Kabir). But Shekhtaki felt insulted and became jealous of Sahib Kabir.
Restoration of a Dead Girl Kamaali to Life
One day, Shekhtaki on finding an opportunity misled large numbers of Muslims and took them to Sikander Lodhi. At that time, Sahib Kabir on special request of Sikander Lodhi was staying at his place in Delhi. When Sikander Lodhi asked the reason for the arrival of so many people, he was told that Shekhtaki is saying that this Kabir is Kafir (disbeliever). He has some magical skills. If this Kabir will bring my daughter, who has died and has been buried in grave for nearly fifteen days, back to life then I as well as all the men present here will take his refuge; otherwise, this kafir will be punished. Sahib Kabir thought that this ignorant soul might gain salvation himself and might also bring about the welfare of other souls. Because all these living beings whether today they are Muslim or Hindu, Sikh or Christian, they all are part of Kabir Sahib (Purna Parmatma) only. Kaal God has misled them. Kabir Sahib said, “On the third day from today, your daughter buried in the grave will be restored to life.” Thousands of spectators gathered around the grave at the scheduled time. Kabir saih said, “Oh Shekhtaki! You may also try.” The men present there said that if Shekhtaki had any power, then who would let his daughter die? You may kindly do the favour.” Then Kabir Sahib disentombed the grave and brought that many days old dead body back to life. It was a dead body of a nearly 13 years old girl.
All the people present there said that Kabir Sahib has done a miracle; He has done a miracle! Kabir Sahib named that girl Kamaali. The girl refused to go with his father Shekhtaki and said, “Oh ignorant being! This is the Supreme God (SatPurush) Himself. Fall at His feet for your welfare. He is a kind God.” Thousands of persons by becoming (mad'bhakt) Matavlambi bhakt i.e. according to Sahib Kabir’s viewpoint got their welfare done i.e. took naam-daan and Sahib Kabir kept that girl Kamaali with him as his daughter.
